*BEEP-BEEP*
I groan and hit snooze on my alarm for the 5th time...
I really didn't want to go to school today. Should I tell mom that I have a stomach ache or just leave for school but don't show up for any class and then come back home?
I guess I'll go with the stomach ache plan but then again I would miss an entire day of class. There would be a lot of pending work to catch up and I'm pretty sure Mrs John will give heaps of work for Chemistry.
I give out a long sigh and get up. I had messages from both Kai and Phoenix piled up in my inbox but I didn't open them.
I mean c'mon! I said I'd be all "normal" but I just wanted to be a bit dramatic okay? Like who doesn't like a dramatic pause in their life?
Okay, maybe that sounded stupid. To be honest, it was still hard to process the fact that Natasha kissed Phoenix. It really hurt for some absurd reason and then stupid Langston jumps me.
"ARE YOU COMING SKYLA? I AM GOING TO LEAVE WITHOUT YOU! COULD YOU HURRY UP!", Aiden screams from downstairs.
"Coming!"
I dilly-dally my way towards the door of my house.
"C'mon! Make it quick will you? We need to pick up Lucia too today!" Aiden said cheerfully.
I rolled my eyes and got in the car. We picked up Lucia and went to school.
"Could you drive slower please!" I pick at Aiden.
"Huh? What do you mean, I'm driving at moderate speed. Do you want us to be late?" He protests.
"I- well-"
"You don't know what happened yesterday. Do you?" Lucia interrupts and questions Aiden.
He looks at me with a confused face. Lucia explains the part where Natasha kisses Phoenix to get back at me and the whole Natasha-Felix thing.
"Wow. All that happened in just one day huh?" He gasps.
We nod.
"-But we can't be late for school now, can we! Mom will get mad at us", Aiden looks at me.
"I suppose you're right..."
With a bummed out face, I sit in the back seat while Aiden drove us to school.
Nothing happened, nothing- I assured myself.
We get into campus ground and WALA! My luck, the first person I see is Phoenix 'dashing' Gray.
I just awkwardly wave at him while he smiles back at me.
The moment Aiden parks the car, I cautiously rush towards the classroom without bumping into, you-know-who.
I got through the entire day without actually having a conversation with either Phoenix or Kai but the problem is that today we have our band practice. The carnival was suddenly changed to tomorrow and because of that, I can't miss today's practice. So much for being "normal".
I take a deep breath.
I can't run away from this forever, it'll just ruin it. Just face it Skyla.. you can do it!
I walk towards the band room and to my surprise, I was the first one to reach there. I put down my bag on the ledge and sat beside the piano.
"MM-hmm Mm mmmm Mm~" I hummed the melody of the song I wrote to sing tomorrow.
"Sky-Skyla-", Kai arrives. I turn around and greet him as usual.
He evidently looked confused.
