Chapter 14

14- The truth.

Aiden's POV:

Something big just happened, something I thought will never happen. I had never imagined that I'd be embraced in my mother's arms. Ever since I found out Mr Elliot was my dad, I had observed my mother and sister from a distance. For a nine-year-old boy, this truth had destroyed his reality. I was happy with Mr Kim until he abruptly said goodbye. Dad always told me that he would gladly take me to mother but I-

"Oi-" Skyla calls out to me.
"Stop overthinking, that expression doesn't suit your face."

"I- I'm sorry Skye, I never meant to..." I felt guilty for ruining her reality.

"OH DO SHUT UP!" Skyla shouts. I never really witnessed her being rude or shouting very much, so this surprised me.

She walks closer to me, grabs me by my collar and shouts, "YOU ARE FAMILY, SO FIRST OF ALL DON'T FEEL GUILTY." She looked away.

"It will take some time to accept all this and yes, I felt like I was living a lie but I've always wanted to have siblings, so I guess it'll be fine and moreover, you always gave away a warm brother vibe. It'll be easy to adjust. Just try not to become awkward or be the overly loving brother out of the blue." 

She stopped. I look at her and pat her head, "Yes."

Skyla resonates with a warm smile. 

"Wait... so you were watching me all this while?" She asks.

"Well, yeah.."

"UGH, THAT'S CREEPY!"

"Oh c'mon. Dad always gave me pictures to keep and he even sent me your singing videos. I must say, they were pretty good." 

"I know I'm amazing!" Skyla smirks.

"OH NO!" She suddenly yells.

I look at her with a confused expression.

"YOUR FANGIRLS WILL NOW ASK ME TO SET YOU GUYS UP! GOSH! NO!" 

"Pfft." I start laughing, "I've already got my eyes on someone..." I mumble.

"Lucia-" She says her name with ease. 

"Ah... I'm an idiot, she'll never talk to me again. I messed up big time..." I sigh.

"To be honest, you did... BIG TIME but that kiss though-.."

My face got flustered remembering the kiss. I had just forced it on the pipsqueak. I seriously thought I'd never get to kiss her in my life, so I just went in with it. That pipsqueak is probably cursing me right now-

"Wait, was that your first kiss?" Skyla asks me.

I cover my face. 

"OOOOOOOO~ My brother sure is passionate~"

"SHUT IT SKYE!" 

"Aiden, but in all honesty, it's not too late and Lucia is the kind of girl who's hot-headed but understands if you explain everything. So go for it, run to get her. Don't let her slip away-" Saying this, Skyla pushes me forward.

"GO FOR IT BROTHER! I'M ROOTING FOR YOU!" She cheered me on. She was right, I needed to try. I'm not the type to give up easily. I need to get her. At least be her friend. 

Yes, Aiden! I thought to myself while making my way to Lucia. Skyla had called the others and asked where Lucia was and apparently, she was sitting in the city park. She insisted she needed some time alone. This is my only chance.
