My eyes widen to the point that I think they'll fall out. I gulp as I feel my head start to cloud. I stumble to the side and lean against the car. Shane is soon by my side holding my arm steading me.

"I-I know it's sudden and I don't have a ring. Shit I don't have a ring, but we could go shopping for one together and could propose again. More romantic than this, but I just- I need to know now. Please Violet will you marry me. We can live happily together."

I close my eyes and open them again looking at Shane sighing quietly. "I don't know Shane. We're both so young. I have my career that hasn't even started yet and you have your singing. I'm not sure if could even afford it."

He bites his lip sadly looking away before looking back at me excitedly. "We don't have to get married now! We could just be engaged. I know tons of people that have been engaged for a long time. Sometimes even years!"

I look at him through my lashes unsurely. "And," he adds quickly. "If you decide you don't want to get married we could break off the engagement."

"Shane I'm not going to break off the engagement." I reassure him. He steps forward, "Is that a yes?" He asks shyly. I try to contain my smile as I nod my head. "Yeah, yes I'll marry you."

He throws his arms around me pulling me to him. He squeezes my waist and picks me up turning. I giggle and squeal pecking his cheek as we turn. "Oh, Violet, you just made me the happiest person in the world."

He sets me down and I continue giggling, quieter now though. He rests a hand on my cheek and I rest my hand on his chest. I look down and then look back up at his huge smile. I grip his shirt and pull him to me smiling into the kiss.

We drive away from the busy club quickly. "I'm hungry." I whine and grab Shane's hand placing it on my knee. I interlock our hands and rest my head on the window. I stare out at the nightlife; girls stumbling around with their friends, a guy carrying a bottle of beer lazily looking down, and couples walking arm in arm. I smile letting a sigh out through my nose clouding the glass.

"What are you so smiley about?" Shane asks glancing over at me. "I'm engaged to one of the best people on earth. How could I not be happy?" I sit up looking over at Shane and rest my head on his shoulder as we come to a stop.

He kisses the top of my head wrapping an arm around me and pulling me to him tightly. "I love you." He whispers watching the traffic. "I love you too." I whisper back closing my eyes.

The rest of the car ride was quiet except for the few small giggles I'd make everytime Shane made fun of something Ella did. We turn down a small, yet somewhat familiar road. "I think I know this place." I say questioningly.

He gives me a crooked smile before driving a little slower. "Close you eyes." He says, excitement laced through his voice.

"What?" I ask laughing slightly.

"Close you eyes, babe." He glances over at me before looking back at the road.

I squint my eyes at him. "You know how much I hate surprises." I say lowly. He laughs merrily, "You'll love this one, I promise. Just close your eyes. We're almost there."

I sigh and close my eyes. "Fine, but only because I love you." The car speeds up slightly and I pout.

"What's the pout for?" He asks sounding like he's trying to hold back a laugh.
"You didn't say it back." I whine. "Didn't say what- oh my god are you serious? Fine, I love you too."

I smile proudly still keeping my eyes closed. "You're ridiculous." He mumbles under his breath.

"I might be ridiculous, but you still love me." He sarcastically laughs as the car comes to a stop.

"We're here. You can open your eyes!" Shane says loudly. I open my eyes and I cock my head as my vision comes into focus. "Stella's?"

"Yeah, I know it's not really fancy, but we had our first date here and I know you love it." He looks down at his lap shyly. "We can go somewhere else if-"

"Shane, it's great you know how much I love it,¡." I give him a soft smile and he opens his door running to mine and opening it.

"Thank you." I say as we lock hands and walk into the restaurant. The small twinkle lights are still in the same place and it smells amazing. The hostess seats us and the most amazing night begins.
