The rest of class goes by in a blur. I get to my next class quickly, so that I can have a few minutes to relax.
I pull out my headphones and flip through a couple songs. The teacher makes eye contact with me and rolls his eyes motioning that he's going to do something. I nod curtly and look down playing with my phone again. I notice someone walk in, but continue looking down at my phone.
The person taps my shoulder and I sigh taking my headphones out seeing a smiling girl. "I'm new and I just wanted to make sure this was the right class?" She questions more than states.
"Mr. Moore?" I look down to see if she has a schedule, but she quickly plops down in the seat beside me. "Yup!" She says happily. "Thank god, I thought I'd have to wander around the building and I didn't want to get stopped by that weird looking guy with gray hair out there." She says dramatically and I try not to laugh. "Is he short and dressed in all green?" She furrows her eyebrows, "Yea how did you know?"
I let out a loud laugh, "That's our teacher!" Her mouth falls open before she goes into fits of giggles. "Ew, no." She says in between laughs making me laugh harder.
Our laughing dies down eventually and she looks at me gratefully, "You're really cool. We should hang out this afternoon," she smirks, "Maybe go to a club." She elbows me slightly still smirking. My smile falters, "I don't really do clubs. I'm too socially awkward." I say smiling shyly.
She throws her hands in the air and gasps, "Nonsense, everyone loves clubs. Plus you'll fit in with the whole all dark clothes; I'm a badass thing you've got going on." I look down at my depressing thrown together outfit and sigh, "Thank you?" I look back up at her to see her excited expression. Maybe I do need this with all the stress going on lately I deserve a night out.
"Ok." I finally agree shaking my head.
"You'll come?" She bounces up and down gleefully. I shake my head slowly and she squeals, "We'll have so much fun." She quickly writes her number down before everyone starts flowing into class and the bell rings.
My stern expression raises into a happy one as the bell rings and my third class teacher groans. "We'll pick up where we left off tomorrow." She mutters tiredly. I throw my bookbag over my shoulder and take the familiar path to the literature building.
I enter smiling at people as they walk by. I look down in a daze thinking of how I'm going to see Shane in a matter of seconds when a pair of hands grab my waist and pull me into a closet. The small rooms illuminates revealing Shane's smiling face. "Haven't we already done this before?" I ask teasingly. He pouts playfully stepping back, "Are you not happy to see me?" I kiss him placing my hands on his shoulders as an answer. I pull back leaning on his chest, "I'm always happy to see you." I whisper. "Aww you're gonna make me cry." He says wiping fake tears away.
"I was trying to be sweet and you ruined it." I say frowning. He pulls me close to him again and places a light kiss on my nose, "Forgive me?" I sigh contently and smile. "Sure."
He talks about his day while I listen closing my eyes and relaxing. After a few minutes I look up at him upset. "Class is about to start we need to go." He frowns sadly and motions me out of the door.
I walk cautiously out and jog down the hallway. I smile to myself keeping my head down. Just as I make it down the hall I accidentally bump into someone's shoulder. Damn it, why do I always bump into someone on this hallway.
I look up and smile politely at a boy around my age. "Sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going." I say; blood rushing to my face in embarrassment. He gently smiles and places a tanned hand on my upper arm. "S'ok, I wasn't looking where I was going either." I smile uncomfortably as his hand remains on my arm and starts rubbing up and down soothingly.
