After Nightmare and his gang got settled into the house, we decided it’s best to lay some ground rules. Obviously, since it looks like Ink will be coming into the anti-void more than usual, we need some way to hide.

“Why not just kill him?” Killer suggested.

I quickly smacked him at the back of his head using my blue strings. It wasn’t meant to hurt, that’s probably why he didn’t dodge.

“Ink can’t be killed. He’s immortal. Just like me. Suggesting such an idea is like suggesting drowning a fish. It will never work.” I stated, still stuttering occasionally.

“Then…how about not hiding?” Dust suggested.

“That would only raise more questions and make Error’s job much more difficult. You haven’t seen just how powerful this Ink skeleton really is. I’ve already ran into him and fought. I only managed to escape because Error informed me ahead of time.” Nightmare spat out angrily.

I shiver at that memory. Ink truly seemed upset. But, for some reason, his feelings didn’t seem real… I’m not sure why… I feel like I’m forgetting something very important about Ink in general. But I just can’t place my finger on it.

“Not to mention he seems to be forming an army of some sort. He’s already got my brother, Dream, involved. He’s claiming it to be a sort of ‘good vs evil’ shtick. Now our goal will only get harder from here.” Nightmare states.

“Wait WHAT?!” I shout, surprised. Horror raises an eyebrow at me.

“You didn’t know about this?” Horror asks.

“N-no! He never told me he met new skeletons before! I wonder why…” I mumble the last part to myself.

They glance at each other with a thoughtful expression. I didn’t notice the way they were smiling ominously. Suddenly, I’m hit with a familiar sensation in my soul. Clutching my chest, I fall in pain. Nightmare gets up and grabs me by his tentacles. The others stare in confusion.

“What’s wrong with the kid?” Dust asks.

Nightmare explains the situation as I wait for the burning sensation to subside. Opening my eyes tiredly, I sometimes wish to just sleep the world away. But ever since Ink got a new sense of inspiration, he’s been creating more and more, and I’ve been sleeping less and less. Can’t exactly sleep when your soul hurts immensely.

Sitting up, I sigh tiredly. Adjusting my hat, looks like it’s time to get serious. I then point to Nightmare; he nods in understanding. I open up two portals, we each step-in a different one. Nightmare has taken up the role of distracting Ink while I destroy another au. Meaning if he’s lucky, we’ll be destroying two au’s at the same time.

Entering an au, I always wondered why no monster seemed to notice me coming. There were even some points in time I startled Ink by just walking up behind him. It turns out, they can’t feel my presence. It’s as if I don’t register nor produce an aura.

That’s probably why Ink never found me destroying au’s. He can’t feel me doing it. I felt a huge weight being lifted off my shoulders when I found out about that. It helped to make my job much easier. Glancing around the au, it seems deserted. It’s probably a genocide run. That makes my job much easier than.
