-Ink's POV-

*Hiccup*

Watching as Error weeps, holding the scarf of the now-dusted Geno, all I could think about at that moment was how this could have been prevented. I want to go up there and comfort her, but do I have that right? I don't even think she wants to see me right now either. And even if I wanted to hug her, I couldn't with my hands cuffed.

I flop onto the floor, wiggling towards Error. These magic-nullifying chains can't do much to me, but I am already exhausted from the battle. As I long to reach out to Error, I find myself having a foot kick my face in. I jolt up from the sheer impact, not having enough time to react as someone grabs me by the torn shirt.

"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!" I hear the being shout. As my eyesight slowly adjusts again, I see that it's Reaper. He was glaring at me with such hatred that I could feel my skull wanting to melt from it. I don't react when he pins me onto the floor and punches my face.

"Reaper! Stop! He's already chained! He can't hurt anyone anymore!" I hear Blue shout. Despite everything, he still cares...about me? Why? I notice that most beings stay back. As if they're afraid of Reaper. I had forgotten that he can kill with a touch. That must be why no one is stopping him...right?

My thoughts are cut off by Reaper punching me again. He continues with the assault until I feel something wet drip down onto me. Looking up, I see that supposedly calm being crying. His glare hasn't died down though, it only seems to amplify it. Before he could swing again, someone catches his hand.

"That's enough..." Error commands, her tears now stopping. She stares down at me, and I can't help but flinch. She looks back at Reaper and hugs him. "...No more violence...Please...It doesn't solve anything..."

Reaper freezes in his tracks, surprised by what is happening. I can't help but feel envy as I watch the two of them cuddle. No...this is my punishment. I shouldn't long for it...She must hate me for what I have done...But I don't want to go back to feeling emotionless...What can I do? What could I have done?

Just as I begin to ponder on what the future might be like now, I feel someone grab my shoulder and lift me. I flinch, thinking that perhaps someone is gonna punch me again. But that fear disappeared when I felt them hug me. I open my eyes to see its Error. My nonexisting soul feels like it wants to jump out of my chest as tears begin to shed from me.

The silence is comforting to me. But I always hated silence. What makes this so different? Is it because I'm with Error? Or the fact that she isn't fearing me for being soulless? Whatever it is, I don't want to leave this moment. Ever...

When Error left the hug, I felt a sting. But I understood my previous wish was stupid. I cannot do what I did last time, imprisoning her was the wrong move. I just hope...she can give me another chance. I cannot promise I can change, but if it's for her then...maybe...just maybe...something good can happen.

"Reaper...Life controls all of..well...life? I know it's a long shot, but...perhaps...she can help?" Error asks something I did not understand. What does she mean by this? Whatever she was suggesting, Reaper understood it. He seems to brighten from it.

"...It's a long shot, I don't think she's ever done something like this before, but, she might be able to help." Reaper gets up, he opens a portal to...I'm not sure. "Nightmare, let's go to ReaperTale, I have an idea that's so crazy, it might just work. Come if you want."

Cross pulls my chains towards the portal. I'm not sure how many followed, but we entered what seemed to be a beautiful garden. There, in the middle of it seems to be the Toriel of this au. Reaper walks towards a dead tree and summons his scythe. He hops onto it and starts to fly toward Toriel.

I wasn't sure what he spoke to Toriel about, but judging from her expression, it must have been something unreasonable. Suddenly, I can feel a shift in aus. Seems a ton of genocides are happening. I had forgotten that if this Toriel is upset, she can make genocide happen in mass.

Toriel and Reaper start to come our way. Toriel stops just in front of Error who is holding out Geno's scarf toward her. Reaper floats away to his dead tree, as if afraid of interfering with whatever might happen. Toriel grabs the scarf and looks at the dust. She frowns and looks back at Error.

"I cannot promise you it will succeed. This also requires that the being you wish to come back to is strong enough to return. All I can do is make an entry for them to possibly return. So...forgive me if I do not succeed." Toriel explains.

Error stares up at Toriel with a determined look. "...Then I do not have to worry, because Geno is strong. Proceed."

Suddenly, Toriel sits down on her patch of golden flowers. A green light begins to shine from Geno's scarf. I watch in amazement when I realize that they're trying to defy death. To bring back Geno. What a crazy idea! Even for me.

I wasn't sure how much time passed, but nothing seemed to be happening. Just when I thought it was a bust, a shattered soul started to fall towards the scarf. Suddenly, a bright light shines from it. And coming from it is Geno who seems to be asleep. Error suddenly begins to cry as she grabs him.

Geno opens his eyes weakly, he smiles when he sees Error.

"Hey, guys...missed me?"
