"T-they actually saved me from N-Nightmare!" Was my brilliant response to stop Reaper, Geno, and Ink from continuing to fight. It must have succeeded because Ink throws up ink as he shouts what.
I bring them both towards me by pulling my strings. I could hear Geno sigh in relief but continue to struggle to release his bindings. I then release both Reaper and Ink after they're close enough. Ink just stares at my magic in curiosity.
"...They did?" Ink asks. And I look at him in question, but then realize what I said before. So, I proceed to stutter because I'm not sure how to proceed with that statement. God, why am I having problems lying about this, but have no trouble when hiding the fact, I'm the destroyer? Maybe it's because he's my friend and it hurts to lie about anything bad about him?
"Y-yeah! I-in fact, I was j-just about to go back home! I was j-just exploring this au because it's my f-first time entering one!" I state, hopefully sounding genuine. I then point at Geno who lies besides me. "Please release him Ink."
Ink closes his eyes and sighs. From what? I'm not sure. But the purple ink binding Geno melts away, allowing him to finally stand up. Geno looks at his clothes which are covered in pinkish snow. He frowns as he proceeds to wipe it off.
"How did they save you?" Ink asks. My glitches intensified because I didn't think of that part yet. But Geno quickly chimes in to help.
"That would be from me teleporting away from Nightmare with her just before he destroyed my au. We got here by Error opening a portal to this au." He states.
Ink tilts his head in confusion, a strange flicker of light shines quickly but dims just as fast as it came. He then asks. "Are you an original?" And before Geno could answer, Reaper chimes in.
"Yes, he is." Ink turns to look at him, as if challenging his statement.
"How are you sure?" It is then I realized that Ink actually used his head for once. If Geno had answered yes, Ink would have been more suspicious because only a handful of out-codes know about originals. I shiver at the possibility of him falling into that trap.
"That's simple. I'm the God of Death. But you can call me Reaper." Reaper pulls me out from my thoughts as I realize we have yet to calm down Ink.
Ink then shines in excitement. He teleports just in front of Reaper as he blasts him with question after question. "Oh! You're Reaper Sans?! Do you really have death's touch? Are you really cold? How many souls have you collected thus far? What is your brother like? Why bla bla bla bla."
Geno turns to me, sweat dropping. He leans in and whispers to me. "Does he always do this?"
"Well, he does get that way when explaining the new aus he's created. So...yes." I shrug. Suddenly, I find myself being lifted up again. I look and see its Ink. He's glaring at Geno with a grin.
"And who are you?" Ink asks.
Geno returns the glare as well. "You can call me Geno." The two just stare at each other, as if having a silent battle.
Suddenly, I hear the sound of a portal opening. I turn to look and see it's a yellow dressed Sans with another wearing a battle body similar to Papyrus. They pant for a bit before turning to see us. They smile in relief and run towards us, shouting Ink's name. I can hear Ink grit his teeth in annoyance. Wait, what?
"Ink! We finally found you! We were worried. Who are these guys?" Dream asks. Maybe it's just me, but I feel Ink isn't being genuine.
"Hello Dream, Blue. Meet Geno, Reaper, and Error." Ink lowers me onto the floor, but still holds my hand. Sort of like how a child would hold their favorite toy bear. I shivered for a split second when I felt his hand clench into mine. If I were any other being, this would hurt a lot.
Dream and Blue stare at me. Dream, probably a bit worried, because I saw his smile fall for a split second. He must have felt my negativity just now. I'll need to control it better. Blue, probably because he gets to see Ink's friend.
"You should let her go; she doesn't seem comfortable holding hands with you." Reaper states bluntly as he pulls out my toy bunny.
"What's with the toy?" Ink asks, ignoring the clear insult. I reach out and grab it.
"Was holding onto it for her." Reaper states as I feel his hand patting my head. Something is off with my toy now; it feels different than last time. But not uncomfortable. It feels like...Reaper? No, more like his magic. Wonder what he did to it.
"Aww! It's so cute!" Blue states, teleporting right in front of me. I jolted up, surprise. My glasses slipped off my face and fell onto the snow. "Oh, sorry about that. I didn't mean to scare you. Let's start over. Hi! I am the magnificence Sans! But you can call me Blueberry! And you're Error, Ink's friend?"
Blue's eye-sockets keep changing into stars, showing just how excited he truly is. I stutter out my response as I bend down to pick up my glasses. "Y-yes. That's m-me. Why are you g-guys here?"
Suddenly, Blue gets serious. "Ah my friend, see, we were just chasing after Nightmare and his gang. But he kept getting away and Ink was really worried to find you. Dream and I got worried because he left abruptly so we tried to follow him."
"He did?" I glance at Ink who seems to want to avoid eye-contact. Suddenly, he throws up ink.
"Are you okay Ink?" Dream asks, looking a bit tired. It seems he's been too close to negativity.
"Yeah. What were we talking about again?" Ink asks. He turns to look at Geno. His eye-sockets shift into stars and an explanation point before he teleports just in front of him. "So, you said you helped save Error from Nightmare?"
"Yeah, why do you ask?" Geno questions, ignoring that Ink just threw up.
"Great! Have you seen where he went?" He asks, sounding a little too happy?
"No. I was only thinking about getting away from him at that time." Geno shifts back a bit, not liking being so close to Ink's face. Reaper frowns a bit too. He mumbles something underneath his breath before sighing.
"Still..." Ink goes into his thinking mode. Ignoring everything else. He mumbles something underneath his breath. Too low for me to hear properly. He then grins, settling on whatever he just thought of. "...Would you like to join Star Sans?"
This time, I'm the one who's in shock.
"WHAT?!"
