There were now only two days left till the wedding. Things have been quite hectic around here lately as the day got closer. Even with everything happening, me and Oliver have been able to keep our plan together.

We have been spending much more time together to look the part of a happy couple. Doing this kept people, especially the king, from suspecting a scandal going on. The only hard part was staying away from Octavia.

A few times she has tried approaching me to talk, but I always quickly turned the other direction to avoid her. Each time I did this my heart ached. Oliver had also been having trouble with Andrew but we remind each other about the outcome once we make it through all this.

Today I am trying on my wedding dress to make sure it is everything that I wanted. Even though I am dreading this wedding, I have to admit that this dress is gorgeous.

The sleeves were off the shoulder with the top part covered in lace, and going down the skirt lace and pearls trailed down all the way to the bottom.

"What do you think Your Highness?" One of the maids helping asked.

"It's perfect. Thank you." They bowed there heads slightly, accepting my appreciation. Once they knew I was satisfied with the dress, they helped me out of it and back into my other dress.

I thanked them once more before walking out of the room to head back to room for the evening. As soon as I walked out, I bumped into Oliver.

"Oh hi Seraphine, what are you doing here."

"I was just checking my wedding dress to make sure everything was fine."

"Ah I see."

We stood there in an awkward silence.

I shifted on my feet from where I stood before finally speaking, "Um well, I should get going, you must be busy with the coronation and all coming up." I turned and started to walk away, but was stopped by Oliver grabbing my arm and pulling me back.

"What's wrong Seraphine? You've been looking so down lately."

"I just miss Octavia. A few times she's tried talking to me I had to turn the cold shoulder towards her. I hate doing that to her."

"I understand how you're feeling. Andrew has been leaving me notes for us to meet but I've been ignoring them." I heard the sadness in his voice as he spoke.

"Do we really have to keep doing this?"

"Yes we do. Remember the good that'll come out of it. We just have to wait two more days."

I nodded my head slowly, looking down. I turned and started walking away back to my room.

I hate this. I wish I could just talk to her, but I know that I can't it could ruin the whole plan.

As I rounded the corner into the hallway where my room was, I had to bite my tongue to stop me from screaming at the figure that was leaning against the wall next to my door.

"Octavia? What are you doing here?"

She sat up from leaning against the wall. When our eyes connected I saw all of the hurt she was feeling in them. "I'm here to talk to you. Why have you been avoiding me?"

"I haven't been avoiding you.."

"Don't lie. Ever since the execution you've been avoiding me every time I tried talking to you. So explain to me your reason for doing this."

I stayed silent. I can't tell her. Not yet.

She walked closer to me. "So you're just going to ignore me even more?"

"Octavia I-"

"No no it's ok. I get it. After seeing that you decided it wasn't worth the risk of even trying to be with me." When she brushed past me I felt my heart break.

I can't lose her. Not like this. Before she walked away to far I grabbed her wrist and pulled her back towards me. Our lips locked before she could protest.

Sorry for this chapter being so rushed and for being short. This one was more of a filler chapter to fill in some things before getting to the good stuff.
