Shawn's POV

Sophia has definitely been going through it for these two days. The amount of stomach pain she's having is up to the point where she cannot even sleep anymore, she's sleep deprived. 

I kept telling her we should go to the hospital so I could run her some tests, but she refuses. I understand, though. She had a lot of visits in the past two months, but this is serious, and I want to help her out.

5 AM

She crawled out of bed while hugging her stomach, guiding herself to the bathroom, again. This is the third time this happens. I enter the bathroom, half asleep and half awake, trying to help her let it all out.

"Baby let it all out" I say as I hold her hair in a ponytail. 

She puked in the toilet seat, once she was done I supported her to stand up, then guided her to the sink.

She put her hand in the border of the sink, to support herself too.

"Babe, please let us go to the hospital, it will be better for the both of us" I say while rinsing her face with cold water.

"No, I'm just scared and I don't want to hear upsetting news." She says

"No no don't think like that, the medications would help you, just let us run some tests to get rid of this" I said, trying to assure and convince her.

"I'm fine Shawn" She said

"No you're not" I said as I dried her face with a towel

"I said I'm fi-" she suddenly cut her sentence while hugging her stomach with both of her hands, expressing a painful expression on her face.

"Babe? Sophia? Babe.... babe" I said as I bent down to meet her height level while holding her torso 

She closes her eyes and her knees let go of her, yet I still hold her by her waist

"No, no, no Sophia open your eyes.. Sophia" she remains unresponsive

"I'm taking you to the hospital right now" I said to myself as I carried her bridal style, to the car, without changing my pjs. 

At the Hospital, 5:45 AM

"Alisha I need your help get the tray bed!" I yelled my nurse's name as I was rushing while carrying Sophia inside the hospital

"Doctor Shawn, here!" she said as her and myself put Sophia in the rolling bed

"Take her to the testing room, we need to find out what's wrong now" I said while putting my white coat

In the testing room, after running some tests

"Doctor Shawn, the results will come in after an hour" Alisha says as she takes Sophia to her own room.

"Alright can you come to my office for a second?" I asked her, and she nods.

My office

"Alisha, these few days were a rollercoaster. Sophia's pain has been unbearable these days, she can't even go out. I'm worried if her severe stomach pain has a part in this." I said

"Doctor, what was she experiencing?" She asks

"She goes unconscious very frequently, her constant vomits in the early morning, her sensitiveness to any food or smell, not being able to sleep from her pain...."

"Doctor... The results may not be out yet, have you considered if she's pregnant?" 

I took a minute to think of it.

"Alisha you think so?" I asked in a very low voice, out of the shock.

She nods, "Doctor, these are general symptoms of a pregnancy, maybe you're overthinking it as the severe stomach pain she had last time"

"Alisha you deserve a raise" I said, still shocked. "No, no but no way? I don't think she is-"

"Doctor the results are in" Another nurse said as she entered my office.

"Thank you" I told the nurse as I quickly opened the file.

I turned to the first page and read the word 'pregnant' and immediately stood up and closed the file, i'll continue reading the rest later.

"Alisha, Alisha she's pregnant" I said while I put my hands in my head

"Congratulations Doctor!!" She said with a great smile

"Oh my god Sophia is pregnant" I repeatedly whispered to myself to actually perceive the thought as I took myself to Sophia's room.

I enter her room and saw her still asleep. "When will she wake up?" I asked the nurse.

"She should wake up in a few minutes" 

"Thank you" I said as she left the room, leaving me and Sophia alone together.

I sit on the chair, held her hand and stared at her beauty with happy tears in my eyes.
