After hours of being stuck on an airplane, I finally landed. Josh and uncle Ben are in Los Angeles for a while. After claiming my baggage, I exited the terminal. I looked around, studying the new place. There were many people, coming and going. It was busy, as different planes take off and land. I found a payphone at a corner, and so I decided to call Andy, let him know that I’m all right. After inserting a quarter, it started ringing and he quickly picked up.
“Hello?”
“Andy?”
“Ally?” He let out a chuckle, I could tell that he was smiling.
“Hey… Just letting you know that I just landed… I’m not sure where Josh or uncle Ben is right now, but I’m fine…”
“Good to hear…” I was about to say something when the phone started beeping,
“Andy, I’m sorry but I’m running out. I gotta go! Bye!”
“Take care!” Then I hung up.
“I love you…” I blurted, but it was too late. I sighed with frustration and started to walk around the exit. I felt someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned to see Josh with his arms wide open, “Hey you!” He stepped forward and pulled me into a hug and kissed me on the forehead,
“Hey!” I hugged back, “Where’s uncle Ben?”
“He’s back in your apartment.” He pulled away, “Come on, we should help him unpack your stuff!” He took my bag from my hand and made our way back to my new place.
I stepped in my new apartment on the second floor, that Josh and uncle Ben picked out for me. It was simple and spacey, just the way I like it. It was basically one open room, no walls and doors, except for the bathroom, obviously. There were windows almost everywhere, so there was light coming from every direction. The walls were mostly painted with white, and it just visually makes the place look big. From the door, the kitchen can be seen to the right with a bar-like counter. I don’t really need a dinning table anyways. At the other corner, there lies a bed, a singular bed. If you lay down there, you will face the window and you can watch the outside as if it was television. In the middle of the apartment, lies the TV and a sofa. Everything was basically already there, except for food and the kitchen things. Most of my stuff was sent to their address, and so they only need to move it here, all the way from San Diego. Oops, but they insisted on helping. “You’re here!” Uncle Ben said, pulling me into a hug.
“I can’t thank you enough, uncle Ben!”
“It’s fine, Josh and I are glad to help! Besides, we don’t have anything to do.” He shrugged at the end.
“Hey, kid!” Josh grabbed me and dragged me to the sofa,
“What about it?” I said,
“It’s a sofa bed!” He pointed out as if it was a treasure chest, “It’s a gift from dad and I!”
“For what?”
“You got a scholarship remember?” He cried,
“Right…” I nodded unexcitedly, “Thanks!”
“Hey kids!” Uncle Ben put an arm around Josh and the other around me, “We still need to get the other things at the store, so let’s go!”
