The thing starts at nine and it’s only noon when I checked the clock. I tried to make time pass by watching or reading until my eyes felt dry. I checked the clock and it was now four, and I haven’t eaten anything yet. I grabbed the last granola bar that I found lying on the counter. I was bored to death, so I decided to call Andy and have a little conversation,
“Hello?” He answered in his morning voice,
“Were you sleeping?”
“No, I just woke up.”
“I’m sorry, I’ll call you later-”
“Ally? No, it’s okay.”
“Good morning, sunshine!” I exclaimed,
“Top of the morning to you!” He said with a made up british accent, “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing, just bored.”
“I know where you’re going with this… You miss me!”
“Maybe…”
“Maybe?”
“Okay, okay! I miss you!” I confessed,
“Good, because I miss you too!” He said cheekily, “I’ll come visit you when I’m on break, I promise!”
“Yea, I’ll keep that in mind!” I paused, “So uh… How are you?”
“I’m doing well… You?”
“I’m fine, thanks.”
“How’s class?”
“I haven’t started yet, Andy.”
“You haven’t?”
“It starts in a few days.”
“How’s Ryan?”
“Uh… Yea, he’s great.” I could hear him giggling, “Cut it out, man.”
“Sorry.” He chuckled, “So uh… Where are you now?”
“I’m in my apartment, and it feels a little weird because I’m alone.”
“I get that feeling too, kid.”
“How’s Riley?”
“She’s uh… Awesome…”
“Andy, brother…. You’re dating her, admit it.”
“YES, OKAY! I’M DATING HER OKAY?”
“Calm down, calm down. I’m sorry.”
“Hey, kid… I uh… Gotta go get ready, I’m sorry.”
“No, that’s okay. Have a great day, bro.”
“You too, bye.”
“Bye.” And then I hung up. I then tried calling Ariel, but she didn’t answer. What an asshole, she didn’t answer me. But I forgive her, maybe she’s busy or something. I was slumped at the couch watching television when there was a knock at the door. I opened the door and found Ryan standing there with a plaid shirt that reminds me so much about Pontius.
