"So? Is it everything you dreamed of and more?" I ask Kei as we share a funnel cake with ice cream and fruit on top.

"It's..." He trails off, not meeting my eyes. "more fun than I expected."

A small smile comes over my face and I chuckle, looking around at all of the attractions.

"I'm happy you're here with me." I say honestly, our eyes meeting. "I think it'd be really boring if I didn't have you here."

"You'd probably have more fun with Hinata though, or Yamaguchi. They're more hyped about things than I am." He shrugs, taking a strawberry into his mouth.

"You get excited just the same." I put my fork down, laughing. "You just don't show it much. So I'm still having a lot of fun with my best friend."

Before he can say anything, two people sit down at our table, one next to each of us.

"Hi! Do you guys mind if we sit here?" The girl asks while the boy sets down their food on the table.

I look over at Kei but realize it really doesn't matter if he's okay with them sitting here or not. It's not like we can say no. This isn't even our school.

"We don't mind." I answer with a smile.

"Thanks! My name is Hannah, this is my boyfriend Giovanni."

"You guys can call me Gio." The guy reaches his hand out and Kei and I both shake it.

"I'm Athena, and this is my friend..." I look over at Kei, not sure if he wants them to call him by his last name or not.

"Tsukishima." He answers and I nod.

"Ah! Your accent is so cute!" Hannah gushes, tucking a piece of her hair behind her ears before her eyes widen. "Oh! Are you the student from Japan everyone is talking about that's supposed to come?"

Kei shifts in his seat, a small smile threatening to come across his lips as he glances at me.

"Yes, but not really. She's the one who got invited, she just brought me along as her date." He responds and the look on the two new people's faces is priceless.

"Whoa! You're from Japan?!" Hannah exclaims and I chuckle awkwardly while Kei is clearly finding the situation amusing.

"I'm from here actually, but I moved to Japan in middle school." I answer.

Another girl pops up behind me unannounced, making me jump.

"Oh my gosh! Did you move to Japan because of anime? Because I love anime. What anime do you watch? Is there subtitles wherever you go? AHAHAHAHA just kidding! But really, I've watched One Piece, Death Note, Hunter x Hunter, Naruto, Bers-"

"That's enough, Sam." Hannah awkwardly chuckles, a not-so-slight edge to her voice.

This 'Sam' sits next to me, scooting me over by force and looks at me with wide, amused eyes.

And that's when I notice her outfit. A short skirt, thigh high socks, 'cute' kitten slip ons, a hello kitty shirt that says 'kawaii', two high pigtails and makeup that actually looks really good but is way too light for her.

"Sorry! Uwu." She giggles, leaning in close. "So? What anime do you watch?"

I hear the sound of a camera and turn to see Kei taking pictures, a smirk resting on his face.

"So? What anime made you move to Japan?" She asks, blinking innocently at me.

I want to die.

"Kei." I call out to him, looking over with a smile on my face so the girl doesn't know I'm talking about her. I quickly switch from English to Japanese to ensure they don't understand me. "I'm going to kill her. Get this bitch away from me please."
