"The chains that break you, are the chains that make you. And the chains that make you, are the chains you break."
- Anthony Liccione****
My head hurt like hell and I don't think I've ever had such a headache. I had trouble opening my eyes and when I finally did I didn't see very much. It was dark around me, the only source of light coming through the two windows out of my reach.
My nostrils picked up the metallic smell of blood and a chill ran through me as I smelled rotting flesh. Is that me? Or is there someone else here? How long have I been here? And where the hell is here, anyway?
I wanted to move, but noticed that I was tied to the chair with my hands and feet. That's why I had no chance to stand up, the ropes were already cutting into my skin. But I was so on edge that I felt nothing but pure hatred for everything and everyone.
Fuck, where is Ashely? I couldn't see her anywhere. Maybe she was not caught at all and could still escape. I wish it for her. Who the hell is behind this and what is all this shit? I was just so pissed, the headache, the not knowing and then Ashely is gone too....
I groaned irritably, because the whole situation just annoyed me. Especially since there is no one to see who is responsible for this shit here. I really wanted to punch someone in the face...I have to vent my anger on someone.
I had to wait at least another hour until I heard sounds, but I didn't know exactly because my sense of time was fucked up exactly like my head. A door was opened that I had not recognized at first, because it is very well adapted to the wall.
Entered as I should have expected otherwise, the nameless guy with the buzz cut. Although he wasn't so nameless anymore, when Ashely and I were in the closet we heard a name that could belong to him. I'm sure we'll find out soon...
"Harry Styles." he greeted me with open arms and a fake smile as the door slammed shut behind him.
I lifted my head a bit to look at him better and straightened my body as best I could while sitting and tied up. "Kaiden." was all I said back and his eyebrows shot up in surprise.
"Oh, looks like someone did their homework." he sneered with a grin. "Very impressive, most of the people who know my name are dead or about to be."
I looked at him unimpressed, because this guy definitely didn't scare me. "Nice line, am I supposed to be shaking with fear now?" I snorted disdainfully. Kaiden slowly shook his head, I guess he couldn't get rid of that stupid grin either and it was bugging me.
Then he squatted down in front of me and I tilted my head, eyeing him suspiciously. "You know Harry, you guys hid really well I'll give you that." he said when our eyes met. "Your friend's summer house? A good idea."
