Do one thing every day that scares you.
- Eleanor Roosevelt****
It has been almost 26 hours since the nightly call. During this time, my boss has sent me the files of the five. Only two of them had pictures on them, which were useless anyway, because you couldn't see anything on them, the rest had big question marks instead of pictures.
I spent the whole day researching and intensively studying the available files. Now it is evening. A whole day has passed and nothing has happened. I have found out nothing new. Working that late is not healthy but I couldn't help it. My job is my life.
Although, to say nothing happened is wrong. My team of four and I caught one of the gang members sneaking around yesterday. Unfortunately, he died during a shootout. What a shame.
We got an anonymous tip that there was a small group of Falling at the port. When we got there we were astonished to find that this was true. Thus, we had our first lead.
But it led nowhere, from the moment the man died and his supposed friends left him behind.
My team consisted only of women. Together, we were simply faster and quieter in our approach than any other team in our field. We were almost always in agreement and there was no power posturing. It just went wonderfully. I couldn't imagine it any other way.
Of course I am also able to work with men, but why if I don't have to. My boss is a man that is enough testosterone for me.
I don't have many that I call my friends. If you keep your circle of trusted friends small, you are safer, that's what I had to learn painfully.
There are enough fake people and therefore fake friends in this world.
I am pretty sure that Falling already knows that we are on their trail. At the latest when now one of their men was killed. It would be typical man if they couldn't count one and one together, but unfortunately I have to give them credit for being really smart.
