Harry was once again not wearing his seatbelt and it made me extremely nervous today. More nervous than I had been since I went to bed last night.
But the ride won't last long anyway.
"How much longer?" I asked Harry to distract myself. He was as on edge as I was, I could tell by the way he tapped his fingers on the steering wheel and the way he squinted his eyes.
Still, he assured me he was okay. But let's face it, none of us were.
The two of us drove on a side road so we wouldn't draw attention to ourselves or be caught on security cameras, our destination: a rest area 5 miles from the airport.
After talking through and tweaking our plan all night, everyone was focused on actually executing it. Maybe it was a bit rushed to do it directly the next day, but I can't wait anymore.
And neither can Harry.
He's always suspected that both of our fathers had something highly illegal going on, and now that we know the truth, I just want them dead. The truth hurts, but not knowing it hurts even more.
Am I ready to murder my own father? I mean can you ever be ready for that shit?
Fuck, I don't know but I will do it anyway. The world is a really shitty place but without those two motherfuckers it will definitely only get better.
"About an hour." he replied curtly. His gaze was fixed on the street and in the shadow of the evening sun his jaw looked sharper than usual, in general he had a more serious expression on his face and it was already a bit intimidating.
