First Sight (Marina)

Chapter 9

Carina stood patiently at the station's door waiting for someone to let her in so she can visit Maya.

 She saw Jack come from around the corner, as soon as her eyes saw his figure she rolled her eyes and sighed.

 "Can I help you?" said Jack as he opened the door for the brunette. 

"Is the captain here?" she asked trying not to sound rude. 

"She is in a meeting right now, but you can wait for her here" he said eyeing her up and down.

 The brunette made her way in and sat in the waiting chairs, and crossed her arms not in the mood of conversing with Jack.

 "I see that you can't stay away from me, want another chance, experience the other team?" Jack asked with a smirk, Carina replied by scrunching her face in disgust, she went to reply but the captain's door opened so she opted not to say anything.

"Thank you for your time chief" said the tiny blonde fire captain as she shook her chief's hand, her mind racing when she saw Jack and Carina in the same room, eyebrows furrowed she turned to face them.

 "You have a visitor!" said the lieutenant mockingly pointing at the brunette. 

"Come in" Maya said, pointing her head to the inside of the office for the brunette to go in, both of them flashed Jack a glare. 

The second the brunette entered the office she closed the blinds, so they would have some privacy.

 "Did he say anything? If he said anything I swear I will pun-" Maya started, Carina cut her off by grabbing her face and smashing their lips together in a passionate kiss. 

" I miss you" said the blonde between the kisses, out of breath as she put the Italian on her desk and stood between her long legs.

"Trust me, you don't believe how I much I missed you" said the brunette as she went for another kiss. They made out for a couple of more minutes, until Carina asked, "How has been my captain kicking ass?".

 "It has been fairly easy this week, not much calls, and paperwork was simple" replied the captain, both of them now in each other's arms, breathing in the other's scent, both of them enjoying the other's touch.

"Go out on a date with me" blurted the brunette, Maya leaned back and looked at the brown eyes in front of her.

 "I was just about to ask you that" she said as a smile came on her face, and they both giggled.

 "Well I guess its some soulmate shit, telepathy" she said as she pointed at her forehead then at Maya's, both of them bursting out in laughter at her cuteness. 

"Yeah I'll go on a date with you" said Maya softly looking into Carina's eyes. 

"Good I will text you the details, now I need to go back to work, because someone had a meeting and it took away from my smooching time with you" the brunette said as she kissed Maya standing up from the desk she was on.

Before Carina opened the door, Maya pulled her into another kiss, knocking the air out of both of their lungs.

Maya stood in the doorway of her office watching Carina leave, "Soooo why does she keep visiting?" Jack asked as he was sat on desk duty.

 "None of your business, go do something useful" said the captain as she turned to enter her office, he followed her into her office and shut the door. 

She turned to face him while sighing "What do you want?" said the blonde with an annoying tone. 

 "I want a divorce" he said, straight to the point, Maya felt a pang in her heart, even though she hated his guts now, the words coming out of his mouth still hurt.
