~Friday~
"Thank you for your time" captain Maya Bishop said as she shook her lawyer's hand, giving her a thankful smile before leading her to exit the station.
She saw Jack from the corner of her eye talking to some other firefighter.
"Gibson, please join me in my office when you are free" she demanded as she made her way into her office, the lieutenant shyly made his way to his captain's office, knocked softly as he entered. "Yes captain?" he asked in a low voice.
"please enter and close the door" she told him, he obeyed her and made his way in front of her desk.
"I have just finished a meeting with my lawyer concerning the divorce, we sorted everything out, please read over the documents and sign them, I already did." Maya said as she handed him a file containing the divorce papers.
He hesitantly took the file from her, opening his mouth to say something but he chose not to.
"Please close the door on your way out" she added without even looking at him.
Defeated, the tall firefighter made is way out of the office and slammed the door behind him.
Maya noticed his weird and hesitant demeanor, which made her even more confused. She let out a stressful sigh and rubbed her forehead wanting this long day to be over so she can meet Carina at their spot at sunset.

"He's acting weird" the blonde broke the comfortable silence between her and the brunette while being in her arms as they watched the beautiful sunset in front of them.
"Jack?" the brunette asked, 'mhm' replied Maya.
"Today my lawyer came by and we went over the divorce process, and she gave me the documents and I signed them right then and there wanting this to be over with, and when I called him in to take the file he was hesitant and so not Jack that I know" she rambled, her head spinning in confusion.
"Hey don't worry about it" the brunette said softly as she pressed a soft kiss on the top of Maya's head, taking in the beautiful scent of her shampoo.
"He is probably stressed about it too, divorce is a very big deal for both sides" she continued. "How do you know about that?" questioned the tiny blonde.
"Well my parents divorced when I was at a very young age, both of them were devastated and stressed because they had to separate me and Andrea, but they knew it had to be done or their relationship would become more toxic and affect us badly." replied the brunette reminiscing her early childhood memories, feeling low as she missed her late mother.
"You always know how to make me calm down" stated the short haired blonde as she turned in Carina's arms and pressed a thankful kiss on her plump lips.
"Have you chosen an apartment yet?" Carina asked wanting to change the subject, she felt Maya shake her head 'no'.
"Then you're coming home with me, not taking no for an answer" she added quickly before Maya protests against it again. The blonde agreed in defeat and relaxed in the brunette's embrace.
The top of the sun was still showing as it was setting, both of them relaxed in each other's arms, suddenly it started raining hard, they both quickly got up while giggling, tidied up their spot, and took their blankets and food and ran towards Carina's car.
As they both jumped inside the car laughing their asses off at how wet the other one looked, their clothes glued to their bodies, as their laughs died down Maya said, "Well that was unexpected", Carina did not reply, she just took the blonde's hand in hers and started to make her way home.
