First Sight (Marina)

Chapter 19

"Does this look believable?" asked Maya as she gestured to her makeshift fake pregnancy belly.

"Well I think it might be believable enough for your plan to play out" said Andy as she checked that everything was in place.

"Don't forget your hat" reminded Andy as she handed her her cap, the blonde took it and tucked her hair under it trying to make herself look like less of herself.

"Wish me luck" breathed out Maya as she opened her door and got out into the parking lot.

"You go captain, get your girl" praised the Latina as she saw the blonde hastily making her way towards the ER doors.

Maya took a deep breath, opened the water bottle in her hands and squirted water between her legs before putting the water bottle aside and clutching her 'belly'.

"SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!!" yelled Maya as soon as she stepped into the ER entrance clutching her makeshift belly and letting out a loud groan as she acted as if she was getting contractions.

Nurses, interns, residents all rushed towards her, scurrying to help the crazy lady screaming in the middle of their ER.

They all led her to the nearest bed so she could lay down and be examined.

"Somebody page Dr.Montgomery please" she managed to hear over the ruckus of the panicked chatter around her.

Her eyes widened that wasn't who she wanted.

She grabbed the collar of the nearest person next to her and pulled them towards her.

"No one is birthing this baby other than Dr.DeLuca" she said in a low threatening voice looking deep into the eyes in front of her highlighting how serious she was, as she let out another scream of 'pain' as another 'contraction' came over her.

The poor intern she grabbed nodded his head frantically afraid of the intimidating woman holding onto his collar tightly, as soon as she let go of him he scurried off in fear.

Nobody wanted to anger an already hormonal pregnant woman that is going through a painful labor.

As the blonde was left alone, she was scanning the ER waiting for the brunette to make an appearance so she could continue her act.

She was surprised when her brother showed up at her side.

"Maya? What are you doing here?" asked Andrew worriedly as he scanned her body looking for injuries.

"And why are you pregnant?" he asked clear confusion on his face as he started to lift off her shirt only to show a stuffed jacket under it.

She swatted his hands away still searching for the OB she wanted to see.

"Your sister has been avoiding me for the past week, I need to talk to her and fix things, I miss her" she explained quickly as she was nervously waiting for Carina's appearance.

"Go away, don't tell her I'm here" urged Maya shooing him away.

Andrew left, a smirk making its way on his face at how ridiculous this was.

Just as Carina was sitting down on her bunk in the on call room she has stayed in for the past week, exhausted of the hectic morning she had, her body itching to rest and sleep, her pager went off.

She looked down at the device and read that she was needed in the ER.

She sighed defeatedly, groaned loudly and made her way down to the pit.
