First Sight (Marina)

Chapter 15

Maya sighed as she made her way out of the station, she finished her shift for the day, and has the rest of it off.

She was bummed out that the time her shift ends, Carina is still mid-shift, she wanted to spend every second with her, but she finally has some time to finish some errands and continue apartment searching.

She hated apartment searching because she was very picky and at the same time indecisive, she would've asked Andy or Vic to accompany her but she didn't want to bother them, they had a very intense shift, they need the rest.

Carina would usually accompany her when she was off shift, but she is unavailable.

She started making her way to the first apartment she wanted to check out for the day, following the GPS on her phone trying not to get lost.

Suddenly she heard the roar of a motorcycle behind her slowly coming to a stop and her name being called.

She was confused until she saw Andrew on his bike waving over for Maya to come over to him.

"Hey Maya, how are you? What are you doing?" asked Andrew upon seeing the blonde alone and confused.

"Hey Andrea" she teased him. Knowing he doesn't like to be called by his given name.

"You know I will only let you and my sister call me by that name" he chuckled at her attempt of pronouncing his name in Italian correctly.

"I'm just apartment searching trying to fill the time until I meet your sister again" she replied.

"Do you want help? I can take you wherever you want, I just got off shift and have nothing to do. Hop on. I'll help you in deciding too, Carina kind of told me how much agitated you get because you cannot pick" he offered kindly.

"I don't want to bother you, you must be tired from after your shift, I can manage don't worry, thank you though" she replied shyly.

"None sense, come on I'm not even tired, hop on" he said as he offered her his hand helping her on his bike, handing her his helmet.

"I've always wanted to ride a bike" she said giggling as she positioned herself comfortable behind him.

"Maybe I will let you ride it on your own one time, hold tight" He replied as he started heading towards the first location for the day.

~Few hours later~

"Phew! Today was hectic, honestly, I don't think it's your indecisiveness that is preventing you from deciding on an apartment, in each one we found something bad, I wouldn't even choose one from the ones we saw to live in" said Andrew as they entered the mini coffee shop near the station.

They decided to sit in a café and rest to try and pass time until Carina's shift is over. So he would drop her off at the hospital for her to see his sister.

"SEE I knew I'm not that indecisive it's just that the apartments are shit" she joked, earning a smile from him as they sipped on the coffee.

Comfortable silence fell between them as they continued passing the time sipping on their coffee.

"I just-" started Andrew, he sighed and looked into her huge curious blue eyes, "Wow Carina did not lie when she said that your eyes were magical" he joked earning a blush from the woman in front of him.

"Anyway, I know you told me not to thank you for constantly being there for my sister, it just amazes me how much she changed after she met you" he continued.
