LIN POV.

I was up immediately once the sun rose. Today must be perfect, and nothing can go wrong. It's my wife's birthday and we are hosting a little family party, with just us, no one else.

I decorated the living room, and made Pippa's favourite breakfast. Chocolate chip pancakes. Sebby came downstairs and watched Flounder rest on one of the plants.

I plated the rest of the pancakes and went to do some tasks. I fed Bay (Bailey's nickname), helped Sebby feed Flounder, and cleaned the kitchen.

"Morning, boys!" Pippa greeted, walking down the stairs.

"Happy Birthday Mommy!" Sebastian squealed.

"Happy Birthday Pippa." I smiled, kissing her cheek.

"Aw thank you!" She grins, before picking up Sebby and tickling him.

"I made breakfast." I add, "Your favourite!"

"Wow thanks Lin!" She giggles.

We eat breakfast and talk about the doctor's appointment later. We are going to check up on Pippa and the baby to make sure they are healthy.

PIPPA POV.

I picked up my purse and Lin, Sebby and I headed out. I buckled him up and we left to the clinic.

Once we arrived, we walked in and entered Room 7, where the I was told to lie down, which I did.

"Okay, please pull up your shirt over your belly." The ulstrasound technician instructed.

I lifted my blouse over my belly and she squeezes some cold blue gel near the bottom of my stomach.

Lin grabs my hand and gently squeezes it.

The ultrasound technician places the probe on my belly and moves it around. I hear a gentle thump-thump-thumps and my free hand goes to my mouth immediately.

I could hear our baby's heartbeat, and the ultrasound technician turned the screen to face us.

Our little bean displayed on the screen is wiggling around. It's the first time seeing the baby, and it looked weird at first, but I fell in love with him/her.

"So would you like to know the gender?" The ultrasound technician asked us, when we were at the 5 month appointment.

I looked over at Lin and nodded.

"It's a..."

.

"Girl! Congratulations." The ultrasound technician smiled.

"Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh." Lin mutters excitedly.

Tears pour out of my eyes as we drive home. "Hi baby girl." I coo, gently rubbing at my belly.

I felt a flutter in my stomach, unsure if it was just me or if it was my daughter.

"We should start picking out names." Lin suggested, backing up into the apartment's parking area.

"Right. What should her first name be?" I asked.

"We can choose a list of first names and middle names. Then we can decide which ones fit better." Lin told me.

"Sure. I'm so excited for our daughter to be born." I smiled, looking at my medium sized bump.

"Mommy!" Sebby screamed, running to me and tackling my legs.

"Sebby! Were you a good boy?" I asked.

"Yes, Mommy!" He laughed. "We made cookies for you and Daddy."

We said goodbye to Lin's parents and we sat down in the kitchen. Sebby pulled himself up into my lap, while munching on one of the cookies. I gently stroked his head and he rested the side of his head against my neck. I pulled out my laptop and googled "Girl Names". Immediately, a very long list of names appeared. I grabbed my phone and opened a page in Notes, typing "Names" at the top.

Lin did the same.

My list:

Names - First Names:

- Melody

- Zoey

- Hazel

Lin's List:

Names - First Names:

- Melody

- Amanda

- Amber

I took both our lists and grabbed a piece of paper, where I wrote down the names we both chose.

We both chose Melody as a first name and decided that we should give her a Puerto Rican middle name, so we chose Isabel. Melody Isabel Miranda. I can't wait for her to be born.
