Real life Hyuna actually is a Gemini. They're crazy and have NO CHILL and I love them for it.

Seo-Joon is Park Seo-Joon, the actor. He and Taehyung are friends in real life.

There are a lot of references to rap lyrics, culture and backstories dotted throughout this. For instance, Y/n listens to rap music because it makes her feel powerful. Eminem, who was heavily bullied as a kid said the same thing.

Y/n's favorite songs are diss tracks

Baek Hyeon: Baek is 'older brother' while Hyeon stands for 'virtuous or worthy'; the name therefore means 'virtuous brother'. His name told you who he was before the story ever did.

Jimin is a werewolf, Y/n is small (little) and he calls her red. Little red—wolf. This is a terribly cliche reference and I'm sorry.

Jimin's ears always tingle when Y/n is scared because that's where he should mark her.

In chapter 45, Y/n says to herself, 'you can't just ask someone if they're a werewolf'. This is Mean Girls reference. If you know, you know.

Y/n is a vegetarian for two reasons. One because she has a naturally compassionate heart and two is because she's afraid of hurting anything, physically or emotionally. She's been hurt deeply and doesn't want anyone else to feel pain like she has. This is part of the reason why she apologizes so often.

And adding to that, she apologizes a lot because 1) she's afraid of someone disliking her and leaving. 2) she's depressed so she thinks she does everything wrong. 3) she doesn't want to hurt anyone. And there's actually a few more reasons, but I don't trust myself to express it correctly.

Signs and clues of Hyuna's sickness was spread throughout the story fairly early on.

There are some scenes where Jimin holds/hugs/traps Y/n and doesn't let her go. This was meant as a sort of symbolism to say that he was never leaving her even if she asked.

Jimin's wolf is multicolored...because as Jimin says "I'm your calico cat."

In chapter 37 it says Jimin has to fight Yoongi's cat 9 times because cats have 9 lives.

Y/n is very impatient.

In chapter 7 when Jimin cut his arm he severed an artery, not a vein. That's why the blood came spurting out instead of just bleeding. Arteries deliver blood from your heart and to the rest of your body, so the timing of the spurting was dependent on his heart beat. Each beat equals another spray of blood. And this is why he had staples to seal the wound instead of stitches.

In chapter forty eight, Taehyung's conversation decoded: "The sky is blue." Interpreted is: "Hyuna is my mate."
Y/n saying, "the sky isn't blue." Is code for: "Hyuna isn't your mate, but only appears to be."

In one chapter it's stated that all werewolves have a gift. Jimin's ass has also been granted magical powers. I felt like this was very essential to the storyline.

Baek Hyeon's mom is named Nari. Her name means forsythia. Forsythia are very enduring. They can blossom with little to no care and they will grow and flourish in places that have been abandoned. There are some legends that say forsythia will bring you love. So my reasoning for picking this name. Nari: brings Baek Hyeon into the world, which brings Y/n love. Nari: is Baek Hyeon's mom and her son was eventually abandoned by his trash dad. But Nari is strong and enduring and will blossom and protect her son even in the darkest of places.
