Date: December 11th
Time: 6:00pm
Location: Namjoon's house
Mood: Optimistically anxious
<><><>The state and sheer size of Namjoon's house amazed her, as all the Yoon family had ever lived in was affordable, single family apartment buildings. The hardwood flooring and high ceilings were nice, but after a moment she decided (and feeling a bit cheesy for thinking so) that her own home was much preferable because that's where her family was. And automatically she knew that this was exactly how Jimin must be feeling now. That he was coming back home. To family.
And he had been right. His friends were very welcoming. However, he had failed to mention how attractive they all were. And attractive people scared her. But there wasn't anything scary about these people. However, they were a bit...weird.
A ridiculously handsome man wearing a white hoodie with a giant, yellow duck on it approached with open arms as if to hug her, but was kicked away by a suddenly aggressive Jimin who warned with a simple, "Don't touch her."
If his friends were weird, Jimin was the weirdest of all. When they'd stepped into Namjoon's home he had turned into a growling, irritable man who would snap at anyone coming too near. When she'd asked him to stay close, she hadn't meant for this.
Quietly she tugged on his arm and linked their hands together, thumb gently grazing over his knuckles. Instantly he relaxed and sent her a sheepish smile.
"Gotcha right by the balls, huh?"
They looked to find the mint-haired regular, except now the green was gone to replaced by a pearly white. If the color change was supposed to make him look angelic it wasn't working—his face held an evil smirk as his eyes locked on Jimin.
"Yoongi-hyung." he snarled with more pointless anger.
"Jimin." He answered back in a way like two enemies in an anime might greet one another.
"Y/n." Jin said in the same voice and then laughed at his own attempted joke. "We've spoken but you've never had the pleasure of seeing me. But your chance is here at last," he put his chin between his thumb and forefinger, "say hello to the most gorgeous sight you'll ever see."
She was glad for the loud protests from the other two guys. It kept anyone from seeing how her jaw fell to the floor as she looked at Seokjin's face. Being that handsome should be illegal. Thankfully she had collected herself by the time anyone could notice but her pulse still raced in her ears. How was she going to be able to talk to him?? Standing in the same room made her feel like an ugly troll.
Yoongi's eyes fell to her and she blushed, something that caused Jimin's jaw to tick in annoyance. "Hey."
"H-hi."
"OK!" Jimin yelled and shuffled her further into the wall away from his friend. "That's enough conversation between you two."
The skin of her palm tingled as she rubbed their hands together. Again he calmed down and backed them up to their original positions. Another apologetic grin was in place for her.
"Yup, RIGHT by the balls."
Until Yoongi spoke again and his face dropped into a scowl.
"But did you see my face?" Jin piped up.
"H-he-hello." Unable to look anyone in the eye, she focused on on the floor as she bowed in greeting. "I'm Y-Yoon Y/n. I-it-it's nice to meet y-you." A weight of disappointment settled in her chest at the failed attempt to not be awkward. Two minutes in and they already found out how bad at this she was.
