Turning a corner in the hallway I walk into the kitchen sleepily while Ava hangs onto me. We fell asleep trying stuff on so she looks a lot more feminine than she usually does. "Good morning Sweetheart." My father says while preparing breakfast; crapes, pancakes, eggs, and bacon and sausage. "No such thing." I groan walking into the dining room. Ava and I both sit down at the table next to each other and lean onto each other to support ourselves from falling.
"I thought you said Giovanni's kid was coming over, who's this?." Liam asks, sitting down sleepily. "Giovanni's kid dumbass." Lawrance said, looking up from a book from the other side of the table. "I thought he had a son, Atlas?" Liam replies. "I'm transgender and my names Ava." Ava said sleepily. "Oh, ok." Liam said leaning onto his hand almost falling asleep.
Kai and Diego stumble into the room and sit down next to me both looking as tired as I do. "I'm so tired." Kai yawns. Diego and I nod in agreement while then yawning after another. "If you guys are so tired maybe you should go to sleep earlier." Lawrence rolls his eyes. "Maybe you should-" I start. "Don't." Ava says, covering my mouth. I roll my eyes in response.
After a while everyone is in the dining room eating, everyone making small talk in between bites. "There's a new gang-" Rafael starts. "No." I reply then bite into a strawberry. "What?" He asks. "Not right now, I'm trying to eat." I respond, licking the whipped cream off my fingers from the strawberry. "No offense, but you're not the boss or the leader of this family or gang." Raphael says.
"And you're never gonna be the leader of this gang or family." I shoot back. "I just want one meal that we don't talk about work, and what if Ava was a spy and the Russo Gang was going to betray us? Don't give out information until you know everyone you know is really who they are, and seriously take a break once in a while. It took me forever to learn that but you need to and in the future I will be the leader of a powerful Mafia and I'm trying to get in a break before that happens who even knows when." I say, I stand up, grab onto Ava and walk away before anything else could be said.
"I didn't get enough sleep for this." I groan while unlocking a drawer and pulling out some vodka, then getting some different mixers/juices and a lime from my mini fridge and start making myself a Madras. I grab a straw and take a long sip of the drink then sigh, bsetting it on my nightstand. "You good?" Ava asks. "Never." I respond, falling onto my bed. "You need to get laid." She laughs. "More like railed." I mumble. "Any people you've been thinking about or something lately?" Ava asks, nudging my side.
"My assistant at Nonnos is still hot as fuck but I've told you about her and I'd at least like to think that I'm not really the type to sleep with my assistant, but I have gotten closer to her and actually started to know her. There was a cuteish girl that I met at a meeting a week or so ago, but it was more fun teasing her than actually doing anything else." I started after lifting my head up and laying them on my arms. "Oh?~ What kind of teasing?" Ava smirks. "Moving on." I say, causing her to laugh. "Oh and an asshole named Leo who at a meeting I would gladly knock down his ego a few pegs. Get total bisexual vibes from him. Uugghh I hate him I wish I could wipe that stupid smirk of his pretty face." I groan.
"Aww, you like him." Ava teases while poking my back. "Oh dear Lucifer. I think the fuck not." I shoot back. "He's horrible and I'm supposed to get along with him but just his face makes me mad." I push my face back into a pillow. "But he's cute?" She asks. I groan into my pillow. "This isn't gonna be one of those enemies to lovers stories that you're always frequently reading." I told my best friend.
"Oh, but it could be." She says in a tone I really didn't like. "Let me play matchmaker." She says pushing the hair out from in front of her face and crossing her legs. "Oh in all things unholy help me." I say rubbing my temples. "Ya mean holy?" Ava asks, raising an eyebrow. "No. There are far more things that are unholy than holy." I replied.
