"I'm in love with you Miggy..."
"BWAHAHAHAHA, I CAN'T-" I burst out laughing and start wheezing causing me to fall out of the tree above where Miggy and Lyla were sitting. "Wow, way to ruin the moment. Thanks Atom." Miggy says sarcastically and rolls his eyes.
"... I'm sorry… I can't.." I gasp between laughs, holding my stomach while lying on the green grass. "Are you just that immature?" Lyla asks, crossing her arms and glaring.
"It's probably just her emotional dysregulation." Miggy shrugs. "You're so weird." Lyla rolls her eyes. "And you are extremely insipid." I smile sweetly. Miggy sends me a glare and I give back an innocent look. "What's that even mean?" She asks, running her hand through her brown hair. "Nothing." I smirk at Miggy.
"So Lyla what's your dad do for a living? I realized I never actually asked." I look at my nails seeing the nail polish chipping off, realizing I need to paint them again to prevent me from biting or ripping them off.
"He works for a company as the manager." She replies. "Sounds boring." I yawn then stand up. "Anyways.." I say pulling a strand of her hair out as I walk past her. "What the hell was that for?" She asks. "Don't mind me just gonna go win a bet." I smile, feeling Miggy's glare burning into the back of my head as I walk away.
"Angellloooooo." I sing in a sinister tone while walking towards my grandfather's mansion. "Oh dear god help us." He groans before looking at me, him standing by the front door talking to one of Nonnos soldiers. I wave the strand of hair with an evil smirk. "What's that?" He asks, narrowing his eyes.
"I dunno, maybe just some of lylas hair." I tilt my head. "I'm sure she's a sweet girl and isn't a killer psycho or a rival spy." Angelo says checking the magazine to his gun before putting it back in it's holster and walking inside with his friend. "And I'm sure that I and my instincts are right as usual." I say following the two people inside.
"Who are you going to have-" He starts "KAD!" I say. "Yes master?" The hologram's face asks appearing in front of me. "I need all the information on this person." I say while walking over to a wall and pull out a capsule from a hidden container. "Yes master." Kad says before showing a bar that it'll take a day to completely anililize.
"Ok since when did we have hidden stuff like that around the house?" Angelo asks, looking back and forth between the other person and I. I shrunk the hologram back into my watch and yawned. "Nonno okayed it after Kai And Diego and I made sure it was stable aka our beta testers okayed it." I shrug before walking down the hall to go to find Marco.
"He's in his office on the second floor." The other person yells. "Thanks." I yell back. "So the girl is finally using her manners." Angelo mumbles. "I heard that." I yell to him. "You hear everything." He rolls his eyes when I look back at him.
I laugh and step into the elevator and press the button to go to the second floor. "I hate you." Alex said. "Just because you're afraid of elevators doesn't mean I am." I reply to the voice in my head. "Hey I'm just looking out for our body, if our flesh suit of armor dies so do we!" Alex yells at me.
"Moments like these make me glad your volume can't be adjusted because otherwise I have a feeling you'd break our eardrums or the brain would explode from the noise." I say to Alex. "Floor 2." The elevator chimes before the metal doors open up.
I walk down the dark hallway and rub my eyes. I knocked on the wood doors to my grandfather's office and waited for the ok. "Come in Atom." He said after opening one of the doors.
"Thanks, I was gonna ask how you knew it was me before opening the door but then I remembered I'm the only one in the house who knocks like that." I say taking a seat on the couch.
"You need to redo your hair, you're starting to look like me." I laugh. "I mean you didn get the albino genes from me." He laughs sitting down at his desk. "What confuses me is why I have seven other siblings when shouldn't one of four get the albino gene but I'm the only one who does?..." I started thinking out loud.
"Anyways.. So what brings you here." Marco asks, returning to a stack of paperwork sitting in the middle of his desk.
"Yui and Kanjiharu." I say, immediately changing my demeanor from a laid back one to a serious one. "What about them?" He hesitates while taking a deep breath. "They didn't take me, did they?" I ask.
"No." Marco said in a monotone. This was a much different tone than the one he regularly used with me; it was more like the tone he used when talking to his soldiers and business associates.
"Did you know Keith would be like that?" I asked. "No." Marco replied, almost sounding ashamed. "Why didn't you take me out sooner?" I asked, looking at him. "We were getting false information.." Marco looks away. I could tell he was trying his best to stay calm.
"Why didn't you start planning to get me out until a year or so ago?" I tilt my head. "Because we thought you were ok until Keith completely left. No messages or updates on you, he had no contact with anyone in the gang.." Marco clenched his fists.
"Probably because he married Jess." I whisper. "Ya it was because of Jess." Marco said, continuing to look away. "Almost all the information he was giving you was false information wasn't it?" I exhale. "Ya… He only said what he thought I wanted to hear." Marco replied.
"I just wanted to save you so the same thing didn't happen to you as it did with them." Marco looked up at me with tears threatening to spill from his eyes. "I couldn't save your mom or your grandma from them." Marco said as a tear fell from his eyes.
"So it wasn't a rival gang of Toshis… It was his parents.." I whispered. Marco nodded. I stood up and walked over to my grandfather and hugged him. "Why?" I asked him, feeling his tears fall down his face.
"They didn't approve of your mom… But Toshi married her anyway. So they killed every female that they loved after a while… They killed your grandma Eliana, and the others wife's, and the kids and your mom." Marco said, hugging me tighter.
"After you were born your mom had me take you and told me to hide you and keep you safe… But I couldn't stand hearing that you got abused when you were younger and you had to suffer on your own so I took you out as soon as I could." Marco cried.
"Nonno look I'm ok." I say looking at him. "You have your mom's eyes, you know that?" Marco laughs. "Always having that same look when trying to cheer someone up." Marco says, drying his tears.
"Toshi's parents wanna meet me.." I say. "I know I can't control if you do or not.. But be careful and don't trust them." Marco said, patting my head. "Like I trust people." I scoff.
"You're in the mafia, the only people you're supposed to trust is family in the gang." Marco laughs. "Ok now go do something, and we don't speak of you seeing my eyes rain." Marco says with a small smile.
"Deal, but no speaking of when my eyes are storming either." I say walking toward the door. "Deal." Marco said, smiling at me.
