Chapter 13

Roses POV

I walk out of the shower and downstairs where I see Penelope and Johnny laughing and talking away, they haven't moved at all during my shower. "We ready?" I ask Johnny looks at me "shoot I should have got some clean clothes for you." I just shrug and get my shoes on. "So where are we going?" Penelope asks "I was thinking the Dingo." Johnny says I smile at him, he knows that the Dingo is my favorite restaurant.

As we were walking to the Dingo I heard a nice car coming up behind us, you can always tell when they are nice because they don't shake and you don't hear the cars easily. "Shoot, keep your head low and Rose run if they pull switches." Johnny says I nod, I had never been jumped before I never wanted to.

The car sped passed us way to fast, "where do you think their going?" Johnny asks I just surged happy that they left us alone. As Johnny and Penelope talk I walk ahead thinking about Harry Potter and his name being in the cup. Soon we made it to the Dingo, as soon as we walked in Dally comes near us "I need to talk Penelope." He says with a cold voice, I meant him yesterday and he seemed way nicer than he is now, "so as I was saying Johnny.." Penelope says shoving passed him me and Johnny follow as we find a both.

"Talk to me now or we will do this the hard way." Dally says standing over our table, "I'm fu.. fricking busy." Penelope says after looking at me then back at him. "Come now." Dally says even madder I can tell he's not leaving till they talk. "Fine, you guys order I'll be back soon." Penelope says and shoots me a small smile.

The waitress come "and what would you like to drink?" She says all nice "root beer please." I say then look out the window, "Johnny who's that car?" I ask as the waitress leaves "shoot, stay clam it's just some bullies." He says.

Peps POV

I can't believe Dally to take me away form my nice lunch and make me talk to him "what the frick do you want?" I say ticked off "when are you really planing on leaving?" He asks, I can't even read him right now "I was hopping never, but if you want me to, I will I will leave and go back to out abuseing father because you don't want to worry about reputation." I say ticked off, and I walk back toward our table.

He sighs and follows me "you aren't invited here." I say as I'm sitting down "scotch over." Dally says to Johnny, Johnny looks at me then says "no." And with that the waiter brings out drinks. "Mam he's bothering us, what are the chances you could kick him out." She looks at him "sir please leave or I'll have to get the manager." Dally shoots me a death glare then gets up and leaves.

Roses POV

After we all finish eating Johnny buys me and Penelope an ice cream cone on the way home. As I was eating I look back and see Penelope's ice cream in Johnny's mouth. They were both laughing and talking away, until a blue car mustang pulled up in front of us. "Shi.." this time Johnny didn't stop himself he said it the big sh word.

"What's this pretty broad doing with the son of the town slut?" One with a mullet says "and a little kid." As he says this he pulls out a switch, the odds are in our favor as it's 3 to 2 but I already knows Johnny wants me to run.

Johnny's and Penelope and the socs talk trash until one soc punches Penelope right in the face, she smiles unzips her sweatshirt ties it over my eyes and runs. Next thing I know there are 2 guys passed out in front of me while Johnny and Penelope are taking my hand down the side walk.

Once we get to the Curtises house Penelope gets a band aid and puts it on her nose, the others are still out and about. Johnny turns on Mickey for me and I watch not giving a flying care what they are saying.

Sodas POV

Dang Johnny and Dally both end up with a sister, I mean it's almost like we are in a book. The girl from yesterday haven't come back I can assume she recognized I may have the looks but he has the money, doesn't matter though Penelope's way hotter. "Ready?" Steve says turning off the lights we close up shop, "yep" I say "hey dude do you think Penelope's single?" I ask Steve stares at me dumbfounded "I mean sure but yesterday when she saw you kissing that girl she looked sad then her normal self." "Really I didn't notice?" "Yeah it was for a split second."

A little while into the walk home,  "so you think she may be single?" I ask with hope in my voice, I need someone sence Sandy lady I can't help but feel lonely "dude she been home alone with Johnny all day, the way they look at each other, I don't think it would work." Steve says all honesty I just nod and keep on walking.

Once we get to my house I see Johnny asleep on the couch while Rose, Two Bit, Pony and Penelope all playing a quiet game of cards, "how the fu." Two bit stops half way because Rose had gotten up and cupped her little hand over his mouth. "Shhh or you'll wake up Johnny." She says so quietly, me and Steve are holding in laughter as best we can but a few chuckles escaped us. Rose looks at us then puts a finger to her lips making the shh symbol, if that even is a thing.

We hung out for an hour playing cards an having fun, Johnny was at Penelope's side the whole time once he woke up, she didn't seem to notice. All the sudden the phone rang I got up and answered "hello this is Sodapop speaking." "I need to talk to Penelope." Dally says slurring his words, "Penelope phone." I say as I head to get some water. I wasn't listening or paying attention until I hear yelling, that's when I notice Dally's yelling through the phone, "just so you know I dident want you in my life I want you dead, and my reputation isn't everything I could risk it for someone but that isn't you, leave I don't want you hanging around my friends or anywhere in Tulsa." He yells we hear others talking though the phone "way to go Dally, tell her how you feel." All the sudden Penelope takes off toward the bathroom.
