Roses POV
I got up and was starving, once I made some toast I went to Johnny's closet but my room and ate while I read. I so into my book I didn't hear the closet door open. I was reading the wizard of oz, when someone pulled my hair I shut the book when I was dragged out by hair.
My Mom yelled "found the little bi.." when she through me downstairs. (In case some people are sensitive I won't go much detail but you can assume what abuse she got.) Once they left I ran under Johnny's bed and passed out.
I woke up on a couch, I started freaking out, till the girl next to me saw me and pulled me in a gentle hug. "She awake." She says when she lets go. "Rose how ya feeling?" Johnny asks as he walks over. I just nod my head, I'm what's called shy and with this new girl and the voices I hear in the other room I'm kinda scared. "Do you like Mickey? O wait you don't even know my name I'm Penelope." I smile a little she seems nice and she had a sweet sounding voice. Once Johnny sits beside me and turns on Mickey Mouse the other voices move in this room.
Johnny's POV
As soon as I heard Rose was awake I wanted to run over there but I knew that might scare so I calmly walked. Penelope was talking to her, Penelope has always been a tuff person but when I heard her voice talking to Rose and she sounded so kind and gentle.
Soon everybody came in Soda and Steve left with Pony for work and school, I was skipping today I guess Penelope was to. Darry came in with some breakfast for Rose she looked up at him scared like, "Rose this Darry, Darry this is rose." I say "Nice to meet you Rose." Darry says "Same." Rose says, she's always been shyer to others.
A little after that Darry left "are we still going to eat?" Rose asks me, I look over at Penelope she's looking at me "yeah should we invite Penelope?" I say "want to come to eat with us?" Rose asks "sure." I smile "how about you go shower and then we'll go." Rose nods and finds the bathroom.
I know this is shortest chapter yet, I've been really busy with school but summer break just started so now I can update more. Please comment any spelling mistakes, or just give me suggestions
