The new girl in the gang

Part 20

I'm going to skip the rumble part, I don't think I could describe it how I see it and it would bother me, just think something like the movie.

Johnny's POV

We got to the rumble and Tim Shepherd gang was there, "hey man." Dally says "we have to win." Tim nods a few other gangs were there, I didn't care enough to find out who. Soon the socs cars pull in, I did a quick count and we have about 46 people they have 45 which makes it pretty much even.

I didn't see much after that, all I know was I wasn't doing to well, at some point I saw some of the greasers leaving, "chickens." I heard someone yell then I heard a loud grunt form their area. Soon it was just a few greasers who must likely have a broken ribs and bloody noses, and the socs who all in all looked mostly fine.

This was not going good. Then I blacked out because of a hard punch to the head.

I woke up to Darry carrying me, I'm tiny enough to get carried even though I'm only 2 year younger than him. I jump out of his arms and it hurt to hit the ground but I tried not to show it, "Darry, do I even want to ask?" He knew what I was talking about. "No, we didn't win." We were a block away form his house, I took off running when I got there I see the blue mustang on the curb waiting. "Tell her to hurry up, will ya." Bob says sticking his head out the car window.

I walk inside and see Rose sleeping on the couch, Penelope looks tired and heart broken. Shoot why couldn't we have won. "Johnny, are you ok?" She asks quietly, "don't worry about me Penelo.." I was interrupted "call me Pep." She says, I give her a weak smile, she hugs me, the others must not be here yet only Dally who is starring at one stain on the rug this whole time. She whispers in my ear, "just so you know Johnny's Cade, I really like you. It's only one year and I will still see you around I pray. When I do come back please be my man." I pull her in closer, "I will." White that Soda and Steve limp thought the door, I've never seen a sader group after a rumble. I have yet to see Pony which worries me.

Pep grabs her bag and walks over to where Dally standing, she says something to him he hugs her, those two siblings always seem to hate each other but that his they just had showed that both them would die for each other. "I'll call, bye guys." Pep says and walks out the door.
