The new girl in the gang

Part 21

Dally's POV

I follow this girl and can't help but think, it looks nothing like Penelope but she did call me Dally nobody but the gang really calls me Dally. Soon she leaves, I don't know why I thought it was Penelope.

Once I get back to the seats with popcorn I hear Johnny talking about a date, "with who?" I ask, "Liv, but I get a feeling that her friend wrote it." "Yeah whoever did they have nice handwriting." Rose says, I read over the note, "this almost looks like Peps." I say, Johnny grabs it, "she would NEVER let any one cut of dye her hair." We all nod and start walking home, soon I look back to see a mustang tailing us. "Guys watch out." I say, Johnny grabs Roses hand.

"Hey, we had a deal because of you Penelope's learned her lesson. Don't make me put her under house arrest." Bob says leaning his head out the window, I'm so close to jumping in the car and beating them up, until Rose grabs my hand. "Don't make me hurt her." Bob says driving away.

"I can't believe she's stuck living with him." I say Johnny's looks shocked, "that means she was the girl in front of us, she's the one who wrote the note for Liv to asks me on a date." I look in his eyes and can tell he's hurt, because this means she wants him to move on. "You have to go, and make sure she's ok but don't make it seem like your there for Penelope." He nods and we keep walking.

I can't believe she didn't even try to talk to us, but then again it sounds like she got beat just for seeing us. Once I walk the kids in the house I start walking towards Bucks, man I miss Penelope even if we always seemed to be fighting. Hold on, did I try and pick up my sister? Oh gosh, I feel so dumb, how did I not notice her?

Pep POV

Once me and Liv walked into Bobs house he comes right up to us, "I heard you guys were talking to some guys?" He says sternly, "yeah, we are teenage girls were allowed to talk." Liv says, "we're they greasers?" Bob asks, "yes, but they were cute, come on Penelope." Liv says and goes upstairs, "we're they them?" He asks, "yes but they didn't notice me and I didn't talk to them at all only Liv." I say scared about what he will do next he looks mad grabs his keys and walks out the door.

The next day I go to school, it sucks and I tune out all of it until 8 period English with Pony. When Pony comes in and sits behind me, I almost wonder if I should talk to him, but if I did somehow Bob would find out and then my weekly phone calls would be gone forever. "Penelope?" He says, I know what I have to do, "hey Liv, this that stupid greaser form last night, the annoying one who should know better than to talk to me because it will hurt both of us?" I say Liv looks at me super confused but then then goes back to her friends.

As soon as the bell rings, I get up and start for the door, and get outside the school, that's when my eyes land on Dally, he looks like he's trying to hide because he has big sunglasses on even though it's not bright. "Penelope wait." He says running toward me, Bob turns around to look, I run up to Bob and grab his arm, I lace my fingers around his and we start to walk towards his car. I look back to see Dally looking so upset, until Johnny runs up to him with a smile, and the math test that we took today.

As soon as I get to Bobs car, Bob says "did you know he was going to be here?" "I had no idea." I say truthfully, he nods and his sister comes up, "are you two dating?" She says all excited, "you make such a cute couple." I then notice I'm still holding his hand. I let go quickly, "no it's not like that." She looks sad then says, "want to go to the dinner later, Penelope?" I nod, once I told her about the date she seemed so happy, I can't help but get sadder. "Ok but you two have to be back by 10." "I know it's the same curfew every Friday." She says rolling her eyes as we get in the car.

Around 7 we both head to the dinner, I know it's risky to go but I put so much makeup on and my outfit is all pink, my hair is tied back so it would be hard to notice me. "Remember, talk about you and him not me." I say, "do they know you?" Liv asks, "yeah you could say so." We walk in.

Liv goes to get sits for them while I walk over to the other side of the dinner. "What could I get you?" The waitress says, "are you hiring?" I ask, "yes we are would you like to speak to the manger?" I nod, "I'll go get him." She says with this bug smile. Johnny walks in looking nervous, right behind him I see Pony walk in, and duck in the a seat in the middle of the dinner, while Johnny walks over to Liv.

Soon the manger walks over and sits across form me, he asks a few questions then says, "your hired, every weekend, and 6 to 9 on weekdays, I smile, "do you want me to start now?" "Sure if you could." I nod and get up. The waitress form earlier shows me the ropes, it's pretty easy, she hands Pony's table and Johnny's, thank goodness I have an older couple and a few soc teens.

"Hello what drinks can I get you?" I ask the older couple, "I'll take a beer and he'll have a milkshake." The older lady says, I nod and go get there drinks. Soon Johnny gets up to leave, I duck in the kitchen, so he can't see me. Liv comes over, "you almost done?" "Yeah in 5 minutes." I say she nods, soon 5 minutes are up and we start walking home.

"How did your date go?" She smiles, my heart smiles a little, "amazing, he even payed." "Did he ask about me?" She shakes her head, "only once but I changed topic." I smile, then remember who her date was with and feel saddens.

We get home with 30 minutes before curfew, me and her pull out a few bottles of beer and watch some shows. It's a Friday so we just fall asleep down stairs, I wake up with Bob coming home. "Shh Livs sleeping." I say, then look at Bob closer, he's drunk out of his mind, I get up hard his hand and lead him to his room, I take off his shoes. I've had practice doing this for my dad, "goodnight, Bob." I say.
