Part 19

Peps POV

I was on a walk with Johnny it was the last daytime and when night hit... if they lose I might just end my own life. Even though I could never tell any one that. "Don't worry we got this." Johnny says placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder.  I smile lightly and walk in. It was funny on the day of my birthday last week no one knew only myself, I prayed so hard that day, I've never been religious but my birthday night I prayed and prayed. 

When me and Johnny walked in their was some pizza on the table, Johnny went to get ready but I got bored, Soda and Steve were all wrestling, sitting on the floor. I sat on the couch and asked Soda "truth or dare, Soda?" He looks at me shocked then smiles, this distracts him making him lose. "Dare." He says, Steve turns his attention to us, "I dare you to.... Um... go give Dally a big kiss on the cheek." I say laughing already. "I hate you." He says and gets up, he sneaks over to Dally who was talking to Darry. All the sudden Soda kissed him on the cheek, Dally face I can't even describe, I burst out laughing as did Steve.

Soda came back over quickly sat down and looked at me, "Truth or Dare?" He says, I knew this was a lose situation, if I says truth they would ask about my crush or something, which might just be Johnny, I mean he's so cute but I don't know because I've never had a boy friend or what not. If dare then they might make my kiss them. "Truth." I answer, I knew what ever he would say was worth it because of Dally's face. "Do you like one of the gang members?" He asks smirking, Pony comes out of the bathroom with Johnny behind him, I think they were helping each other get their hair greased, they were obviously listening so was everyone else including Two who had just walked in with the door slamming behind him. "Well shoot....yes, so Johnny truth or dare?" I ask changing subject quickly. They still do their whole aww thing, I don't even look at Dallas. This goes on for awhile until Two asked me again.

"Penelope truth or dare?" He asks, they all are hoping I say truth because we have 30 mins to kill, I give to my most evil stare, "dare." I say, "I dare you to kiss you crush who is in this room." He says, "you can't do that, that's pretty much a truth." I say, we get into an argument and it ends up he can't, "fine chicken, I dare you to chose truth next time" he says smirking.

Rose was here reading a book not listening, "Rose truth or dare?" I ask, she looks up startled, "dare I guess." She say, it's my turn to smile, "I dare you to, kiss the next person on the lips who asks me truth or dare." I say, this time me and Johnny end up arguing, but Rose doesn't seem to care, "Darry truth of dare?" She asks, "truth." Darry says, "you have to tell us, have you ever wanted to punch Dally really hard?" We all sigh, I mean she's little so she didn't understand that she could have asked something way more juicy. "All the time." Darry says smiling, he looks at me, he doesn't say anything but arose gets up and walks over to him. It's almost like I have my own guard because he looks away quickly, "Johnny truth or dare?" Johnny looks shocked that he chose him, "truth." He says, "do you have a crush on any one in here?" He asks, Johnnys looks nervous all the sudden, "guys the time!" He yells everyone's eye s dart toward the clock.

It was time, they all glance at me then at each other. "Let's go." Darry says and walks toward the front door, I put my shoes on and try to leave when Dally stops me, "no!" He says looking mad, "it's my f**king life on the line I think I should be able to go."  He looks stern, Johnny comes over, "can you please stay here with Rose, I can't send her home?" I look mad at him, he really looks like a lost puppy dog, but in a handsome way, if that makes sense? "Fine." I say Johnny's hugs Rose and kisses her on the forehead, "Dally." I say and he looks back at me, "I want you to know I understand what you did, I.... Your all I have please stay safe. I would rather live there than know you died trying to help me." He looks sad but nods. And walks out the door, I know I could run so they couldn't get me but if I did everyone that was in the house names in the dust.

The boys do flips off things and walk toward where the rumbles taking place, they didn't tell me where because they couldn't risk my doing anything stupid. "Come read to me." Rose says, I sit down next to her and read to her, as hard as I try I can't get the rumble out of my mind. Soon me and Rose fall asleep on the couch.
