Chapter 14

Peps POV

He was just drunk, he didn't meant that. Did he? I can't believe Dally would do that, I think the whole gang heard but Darry he was working late tonight. "Penelope can we talk?" Soda says, I hear the others feet and quiet talking outside the door "please go away." I ask with a voice crack in the middle, I never cry in front of anyone.

Soon I heard all the feet leave then little feet came up "can I please come in?" Rose asks, I don't know why but I did want to talk to her. I open the door let her in then lock it, she gives me a hug and says nothing. Her hug was warm and full of love, "thank you." I say she nods gives me a tiny smile and leaves.

I look at the window, if that's how Dally really feels then maybe that's how the rest of the gang feels to. I open the window and climb out, I look in the window that leads to the living room and see Two watching tv Johnny and Rose and Pony talking while Steve and Soda are talking very secretively. They'll be better off with out me.

I walk off with nothing but my clothes and my switch, I was enjoying walking around so much that I didn't hear the car come up behind me. "Hey greaser how bout you hop in, so we can have a little fun." A soc says "hard pass." "Oh come on we can clean you up and make you at home." I just kept on walking I didn't even look back, until I heard the car door open and someone's hands around my waist. "Let go of me." I say while trying to fight his grip "you gave me stitches I want you to feel the pain I felt." All the sudden something black was over my head and my hands were tied together.

I wake up with a raging headache, I open my eyes and find myself on a comfortable bed with a person next to me. That's when I realize I must have been drudged or something because I'm under someone's covers naked.

Sh*t is all I think, not the first time this had happened but I need to get out of here. I sneak out of this guys hold and put my clothes on quickly, I open the door and recognize I'm in soc basement. There's no movement upstairs so I hurry upstairs and find their front door, with that I bolt out of there past all these nice big houses.

Once I get to the poorer side of town I finally slow down. Shoot this could not be happening, I have no idea where I am and I have no where to go. I decide my plan quickly and find gas station which is not a DX and fill up some gas tanks, I pay by giving the guys a kiss on the cheek, he seemed to understand that I was a good person in a hurry.

Johnny's POV

We were all playing cards having fun, until The phone rang Soda answered and told Penelope to come get it. I didn't think much of it only the fact the Steve looked at her cards, all the sudden we heard Dally's voice over the phone yelling about how he doesn't want her hear or anywhere he wants her dead. I could tell he was drunk out of his mind but Penelope ran to the bathroom before any of us could talk to her.

Rose managed to get in the bathroom and when she came out she looked sad, "what she say?" I ask "nothing, she needed a hug." I started talking to Pony "what do you think she'll do, I mean she wouldn't do any killing would she." "I don't know, she is a Winston." Pony says, about an hour later Darry came home "hey guys what's with the gloomy faces?" He asks all cheery "we need to talk." Soda says sternly, we tell him what happened and Darry runs to get a paper clip "help me out will ya?" He says to Steve as they pick the bathroom door lock, once we all pile in, I see nothing expect an open window.
