At home, I was watching television, feeling excited to watch the next episode of my most favorite TV series on Arirang TV, The Secret of a New Wave Angel, and suddenly I heard an announcement. "The Secret of a New Wave Angel will not be seen for the next episode this afternoon, so that means, cancelled." At that time, I was shocked and angry because my most favorite show had been cancelled. "Dang it. I don't like the way they cancel my most favorite show on Arirang TV. Well, instead of its cancellation, I will just watch another show called Dear My Ex-Boyfriend, which is on KBS." Then, I changed the channel to KBS, which was broadcasting Dear My Ex-Boyfriend. It showed me the scene where Elaine's twin sister, Karen, visited her sister's grave and broke down in tears.
Karen cried, "Unnie, it can't be like this. You promised me that we would go watch The Anniversary by Ham Tran. Why did you leave me like this? Unnie! It can't be!"
Luckily, Sebastian came to her and comforted. "Calm down, baby."
She resisted and said, "Can you just wait a sec? I have to visit my sister for one last time."
While watching this scene, I shook my head and wondered why Karen's twin sister left her. For me, the reason is because Elaine committed suicide and was hospitalized but failed. After that, I turned off the TV and spent 30 seconds thinking. Haizz, watching some sad movie scenes like this is kinda boring. How about I watch some American sitcoms so they can cheer me up? Yes, that will be the first step of my American dream.
Later that day, Choi Jiwoo, my sworn sister, came here and asked me while I was watching my favorite American sitcom, iCarly. She said, "Hyesun ah. I got something for you." I turned around and asked, "What is it, unnie?"
"I got you some tickets for the Vietnamese concert for the Memorial Day Weekend and for the flight to Atlantic City. The concert will also be held on May 25th, 2013, which will be tomorrow." Jiwoo handed me those tickets, which made me excited. This should be the first step of my American Dream. She also told me that I would also go to Atlantic City with my first friends. They were Seo Yeji, who was known for Potato Star, and Eugene, who was the member of S.E.S.
I couldn't help feeling excited so I ran upstairs and video chatted with Seo Yeji, who was still reading her most favorite American novel, Crazy Rich Asians, and Eugene, who was still filming her TV series, A Hundred Year Legacy. I reached them and said, "Yoboseyo, my friends." Seo Yeji closed her book and picked up the line, "Wassup, Hyesun." So did Eugene, who also said, "How's it going?" I replied by raising my voice, "Guess what? I will be going to Atlantic City for the Vietnamese concert and for the Memorial Day Weekend vacation! I will also go with you guys!"
"Wae?!? You will go to Atlantic City with us?" Yeji screamed in astonishment.
"Oh heck yeah! I can't wait for our besties' night!" Eugene said with her fist and couldn't resist her excitement to have a great Memorial Day Weekend.
"Yes, 2 days and 1 night. I also got 3 tickets for the Vietnamese concert and 3 tickets for the flight to Atlantic City! They will also be for the three of us because we are always best friends." Finally, when the clock struck 3pm, I told them that I had something to do and said goodbye to Yeji and Eugene. I also wished them a great Memorial Day Weekend.
