Me and Jiwoo began flying to Anaheim, California, on December 6, 2020. At that time, I couldn't wait for a big surprise from Sunghoon so I kept quiet and decided not to tell Jiwoo about that. We arrived at the Disneyland Hotel and Resort, my most favorite place in California. Then, we stayed at the hotel room for a period of time, as well as watching Disney romance movies. It was so incredibly good to chill myself down from being nervous for my big moment.

Later that evening, at 7:30pm, I received a message from Sunghoon which read, "Meet me on Main Street. I have a surprise for you." Learning the big moment was here, I told Jiwoo before I left, "Jiwoo-unnie, I have to go because there's something urgent to do." Jiwoo responded, "Okay, have fun. Remember to call me if you need anything." Due to the COVID-19, I still arrived at Disneyland and I could even see a few people who enjoyed the night, unlike the crowded people in 2019.

I finally arrived at the Main Street and sat on the outdoor dining table. I still couldn't wait for the moment to come. However, I checked out my watch and it was 8pm. It meant that I waited for 30 minutes. What took Sunghoon so long?

And suddenly, Sunghoon finally arrived with a box that contained my most favorite Disney book, Rebel Rose by Emma Theriault, and said, "I have a surprise for you, Hyesun." I stood up and scolded him, "Oppa, do you know what time it is now?" Sunghoon instantly regretted it and nodded, "Mianhae but I want to give you something." I turned around and I was still mad at him. Sunghoon then hesitated and said, "If you don't want it, I'll just take it home with me, eh?" I realized it was really mine and shouted, "Sunghoon oppa! I wanna keep it because it's mine." Finally, Sunghoon could give the box to me before we both sat down.

Let's see what's inside and if it's worth forgiving him. When I opened the box, I felt like it was definitely worth forgiving Sunghoon and it's Rebel Rose by Emma Theriault. I squealed by surprise and didn't know what to explain besides a thank you. Sunghoon also said, "I had to wait two hours in cue to get that book for you." Hearing those heartwarming words, I took a breath of relief and said, "You're so nice and thanks for the most popular Disney book." I couldn't even imagine I had the best reunion proposal ever at Disneyland and how Sunghoon asked me out

Then, I realized there's more and asked, "Why is there nothing special?" Sunghoon suddenly snapped and there's Jiwoo who was playing the song, Beauty and the Beast by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson, on her iPhone. Other people in Main Street could hear the music, giving us a round of applause, and I felt shy at the same time. I tried to leave but Sunghoon blocked me for a kiss. Now I knew what true love at Disneyland was like for Sunghoon. At the end, I could danced with him along with the song, Beauty and the Beast, until 10pm, which was also when we heard the announcement, "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, on behalf of everyone here at the Magic Kingdom of Disneyland, we thank you for joining us today for a magic gathering of family, friends, fun, and fantasy. We hope your magical journey with us has created wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. Walt Disney said that the Magic Kingdom is a world of imagination, hopes, and dreams. In this timeless land of enchantment, magic and make believe are reborn, and fairy tales come true. The Magic Kingdom of Disneyland is a place for the young and the young at heart. A special place where when you wish upon a star, your dreams can come true. Until we see you again, have a safe trip home. Thank you, and goodnight." After the speech, we would hear When You Wish Upon A Star and a heartbeat when I gave Sunghoon a big hug, as well as Jiwoo. And on our way back to the Disneyland Hotel, three of us couldn't stop listening to First Love by Haewon Lee on Jiwoo's iPhone, reminding me of the moment I first met Sunghoon in Atlantic City.
