Chapter 6: Summer Splash

"Goodbye Miso, and hello Hyesun," I said as I went home from work. The reason is because it was 2015, a new year and my future self. And suddenly, I heard a phone call and it was from Kim Soyeon. I picked up my phone and said, "Yoboseyo? Is that Kim Soyeon?" Then, Kim Soyeon, who was watching the last episode of her TV series, also reached for it and said, "Yes, it's me. How have you been?"
"Oh, I've been great, thank you. What about you?" I responded with a smile.
Soyeon rolled her eyes with relief, "Ah man, I can't be more great. Guess what?"
"What is it, Soyeon?"
"I got some tickets for the Memorial Day Weekend concert in Atlantic City, as well as for the flight to Atlantic City. I will also go to Atlantic City with you. Are you excited?" Then, she pulled out 2 concert tickets for both of us and 2 flight tickets for us, too.
I excitedly squealed, "How could I be more excited if I would go to Atlantic City with a sworn sister like you?"
"The Memorial Day Weekend concert will also be held on May 23rd, 2015, at Caesars Circus Maximus Theatre. I'm sure it will be more fun because it's almost summer. Now that's all. It was nice talking to you, Hyesun."
"Thanks, Soyeon. I'll see you tomorrow at the airport." After that, I let out a loud and excited scream, a scream that echoed downstairs.
    Choi Jiwoo heard that, thinking that I was in trouble, and ran upstairs and asked, "What happened, Hyesun? You stilted my heart." I was perfectly fine at that time and said, "Jiwoo-unnie, you know what happened. Kim Soyeon invited me to a Memorial Day Weekend Concert in Atlantic CIty. It will also be held on May 23rd!" Jiwoo gasped, "Oh really? That sounds awesome. I hope you have so much fun with Soyeon, ok? Pay attention because your sworn sister is also a big responsibility." I politely nodded my head yes to Jiwoo and decided to go downstairs for a sister lunch.
    The next day, I met Soyeon at the airport, feeling excited for the moment we had been waiting for. After we arrived at the Atlantic City airport, we checked everything in our luggages until we were all set. "And hello again to Caesars Atlantic City," Soyeon said as we arrived at the casino. Then, we took an afternoon rest while I made the first vlog of the day. Ahnyeonghaseo, welcome to my first vlog in the US, and I'm in Atlantic City with my sworn sister Kim Soyeon.
    At 10pm, we changed our clothes to prepare for the concert. In the meantime, I saw Soyeon who struggled with wearing a new dress and asked, "Soyeon, you need my help?" Soyeon nodded and responded, "Yep, will you pull the zipper up for me, please?" I agreed and pulled the zipper up and now we were ready for the concert.
    At the Caesars Circus Maximus Theatre, we always enjoyed live performances of our favorite Vietnamese singers, especially Đàm Vĩnh Hưng. I was his biggest fan, and so was Soyeon. We also watched his music video that combined with his live performance on stage, Yêu Em Cả Trong Giấc Mơ, and danced along to the music. That was his live performance we had been waiting for. After the show was over, we tried to get through the crowded people, kept saying 'Excuse me, let me through' at the venue and returned to the hotel room. Phew, that was so much fun. I mean, that's what I call our summer splash.
