Irene's Person POV

It's been about two weeks since I last encountered Zeref. Over those two weeks, I have been taking jobs here and there, so that way I can make enough money to live.

Though that wasn't the only surprise I had for these two weeks, while on my journey towards the Town of Magnolia, I had managed to give birth to Erza, while it did indeed make me happy, I was also worried too. Not only for Erza's safety, but for mine as well

Over the past two weeks, I have been getting the strange urge to attack or kill someone. I am not sure as to why, but I do know, that I do not wish to harm my own child.

Not only that, but I was contemplating whether I should keep Erza or do what the original Irene did, and abandon her.

Anyway, I am sure you all would wish to know exactly what happened when I gave birth to Erza…

{Flashback: April 7, X765}

I was walking through the streets of Rosemary Village, still on my journey towards the Town of Magnolia.

I was deep in thought with trying to find a place to stay for the night.

Luckily, I had managed to come across an abandoned barn, which was better than nothing. Since I didn't have enough money to afford an Inn for the rest of the night.

I was quite cold, but I didn't think much of it. Though, it did take a while for my human body to adjust too the colder climate.

That's when I felt it, I could feel liquid ooze between my thighs. Causing me to looked down, as my face paled in realization.

'Am I going into labor?!' I thought in shock, I didn't know how I was going to give birth without any sort of assistance. I must admit that I was scared.

"What the hell am I going to do?!" I thought to myself out loud, I was slightly near the outskirts of this village and there weren't any people around my peripheral area.

I knew I had to think fast, so I breathed slowly, so that I could slow down my heartbeat.

The pain of going into labor was unbearable as well, until suddenly a light bulb went off in my head.

'That's it! Maybe I can find a stick or something to enchant, in order for it to become human!' I thought to myself, seeing as it would help give me assistance in having my child.

I looked around and saw a regular stick, so I went and picked it up and placed it in front of me. My eyes glowed a bright red, as a dark red aura surrounded me.

After I cast the enchantment, I saw a female with long chocolate brown hair, dark brown eyes, tan skin, and a seeming hourglass figure. She wore a simple spaghetti-strapped white dress, with leaf patterns.

'It worked!' I thought happily.

"Hello, I am Irene. I am your creator." I told her, as she looked at me.

"My creator?" She questioned.

"Yes, I created you, but that is besides the point. I need you to do something for me." I told her, as she looked at me intensely.

"I need you to follow all of my instructions. Do you think you are capable of doing that?" I asked, as she nodded.

"Very well then, now listen carefully…."

I guided her on what exactly she needed to do, and surprisingly, she actually managed to follow every order I gave her.

With that in mind, Erza's birth was successful, which I was thankful for, though the pain was unbearable. I felt pride over my child, and the future she had ahead of her.

I decided to dis-spell the enchantment, causing the female to go back to her normal form, which was that of a stick.

I smiled and looked at the baby in my arms, who somehow managed to fall asleep. Causing me to, relish in happiness.

I know that I will never forget when I placed her head to my heart and the bond between us was immediately linked...

{Flashback End}

I know that I will never forget the experience I had with Erza, as I continued to stare down at her sleeping figure.

Suddenly, a wave of bloodlust hit me, causing my eyes to widen.

I shakily sat Erza down and looked at my hands…. And saw a crimson color that everyone knows well… blood.

I looked up and saw that it was everywhere and everything was covered in it

I looked up and saw that it was everywhere and everything was covered in it. I could feel the urge to kill slowly grow stronger, as I closed my eyes and tears streamed down my face.

I knew that if I didn't get rid of Erza, I could potentially harm her, and I did not wish to take such a risk.

So, managing to gain some control over myself, I picked Erza up and shakily stood up.

I was still sore due to giving birth, less than three hours ago. Nonetheless, I walked out of the barn.

Third Person POV

Irene managed to leave the outskirts of Rosemary Village. Luckily, she managed to get far enough towards a church that was a part of the small rural village.

Irene hesitantly went towards the church, before looking down at Erza, as tears continued to pour out of her eyes.

She didn't wish to give up the future scarlet haired mage, but she knew that she must do it. Knowing that if she didn't do it, that she could potentially harm her child.

With that thought in mind, Irene went and placed Erza on the ground of the church, as she let out choked sobs. She couldn't help but feel so much guilt and regret about her decision.

She knew it would be hard for her to do this, but she knew that Erza was in capable hands.

Irene then took out a necklace that she bought; it had a silver chain, with a ruby in the middle, and two silver wings spread out, she then placed it gently around Erza's neck.

Irene knelt down and kissed her forehead.

"I'm sorry." Was all that she could manage to say, before closing her eyes and walking away.

Each step she took, she could feel her heartbreaking even more.

Irene's POV

I came to the decision to abandon Erza, like canon Irene did, but not because I wanted her body. But because I wanted to keep her safe, from me….

I didn't wish to put her in harm's way and no matter how much I wanted to keep her, I knew I couldn't. After all, who knows what would've happened if I did.

Everyone knows that the butterfly effect is dangerous and very unpredictable…

Third Person POV

Irene decided at that very moment that she would get stronger, not only for her daughter, but for herself as well.

And with that thought in mind, she continued to set out towards the Town of Magnolia.
