Chapter 18 : Interference

Third Person POV 

{GMG DAY 1: Lucy vs. Flare} 

Lucy continued to kneel on the ground, wincing in pain at the amount of damage done to her feet, which was caused by Flare's red hair.

"Having a hard time standing?" Flare asked mockingly.

"My red hairs injured your feet." She told her.

"Stay strong Lucy!"

"Stand up!"

She then took off her smoking boots, removing them from her feet.

"Sheesh. I really liked these boots!" Lucy commented, causing Flare to stare at her in surprise.

'My hair… My scorching red hair… caused such little damage?!' Flare thought to herself, becoming angry towards Lucy. She then drilled her hair into the ground.

"Wh-What? Are you going for my legs again?!" Lucy asked aloud.

'Strange. I don't sense it at all this time! Where's it going to come from?!' She thought to herself.

Suddenly, Lucy's eyes widened as she stared at Asuka in fear.

"Asuka-" But before she could finish her sentence, Flare's hair wrapped around her mouth before yanking her forward and slamming her into the ground.

Flare orders Lucy to be quiet, threatening her that if she didn't that she would hurt Asuka. 

She then proceeded to slam her hair against Lucy, causing her to fall to the ground.

Flare then used her hairs and started striking Lucy, causing her to cry out in pain.

Flare then uses her hair, as it wraps around Lucy's wrists and ankles.

"I won't let you give up this fight, Blondie. Because I'm about to have lots of fun with you. Now I don't want to hear a single word from you, but I will allow you to scream. " She told the blonde, with a wicked smile on her face.

"Now let's see… What should I have you do first? Peeling those clothes off of you might be nice, right in front of everyone here. But while that sounds nice and all, I just got an even better idea… I'll brand your body with the Raven Tail emblem." She says, as her hair took the form of Raven Tail's guild mark, before it suddenly set aflame. 

"And it'll stay on you for the rest of your life." Flare said, causing Lucy to shake in fear.

"Where would you like me to put it? Hmm?" Flare asks, before taking notice of her pink guild mark on her hand.

"Oh! You want it on top of your Fairy Tail emblem, huh?" She asked the girl.

"Please! Anything but that!" Lucy pleaded.

Suddenly, Natsu came into view. 

"Lucy! Now!" He shouted.

"Thanks, Natsu!" She said, before opening Gemini's gate. Gemini then made contact with Flare's face, which led to Lucy's release from her hair's grasp.

Lucy then turned towards Gemini.

"Let's do the spell!" Lucy told them.

"We still need more practice. We're not sure if we can do it." Gemini explains.

"Just transform into me!" Lucy commanded, Gemini followed through with the order.

All of a sudden, another Lucy appeared that seemed to be wearing a towel. 

Lucy became embarrassed, ranting for a couple of seconds, before proceeding with the spell, as her hands made contact with Gemini's.

"Stars far and wide that measure and open the heavens… With thy radiance, reveal thy form to me. Open the raging, tumultuous gate! With all 88 heavenly bodies… shining! Uranometria!" Lucy shouts. 

Suddenly, a magic nullification device was shot out towards Lucy. But before it could make contact with her, time suddenly froze.

Everything stopped moving, causing Mavis's eyes to widen.

"What's happening?" She asked herself.

She turned and saw a woman with scarlet red hair and a very noticeable staff in her hand.

Mavis watched as she walked to her blonde guild member, immediately becoming alert.

The woman stopped, now standing right in front of Lucy.

The woman reached out and grabbed the magic nullification device, crushing it in her hand.

"I do not like cheaters. So, I'll help you with this Fairy Tail. Though, I'm afraid this might be the only time I do so. For now, good luck in the games." The woman said, before turning and walking away.

Mavis continued to stare at her retreating figure with a look of shock still remaining on her face.

'Such magic pressure…' She thought to herself, the amount of magic the woman held was far greater than her own.

Suddenly, time unfroze as a large boom echoed through the arena.

The audience and other guild members had to cover their eyes at the bright light displayed, before it died down.

Flare laid there, completely blown up, smoke coming off of her unconscious form.

The crowd stared in awe, including the other Guilds and their members. 

"The winner is… Fairy Tail's Lucy Heartfilia!" Chapati announced,  the crowd roared.

The ones that were most surprised was Raven Tail, including their guild master Ivan. 

'I thought that I used the magic nullification device?' He thought inwardly, clenching his fist at how his plans were somehow foiled.

Lucy began to cry, tears of happiness streamed down her face.

'I was able to gain eighteen points for my team!' She thought happily.

"Lucy!" Her guild members shouted, before she went limp, since her body used way too much magic in order to cast that spell. 

'I'm glad I won…' 

A/N: I decided to make Lucy win the match, thanks to Irene's interference. Since I truly believed she should've won in the first place.
