Chen - Bruised and battered

"Ouch!" He yelped for the thousandth time, moving away from you slightly.

"Sorry," You sighed, placing your hand back on the nape of Chen's neck, pulling him forwards with force. "But you should know better, getting into fights like that."

Whilst walking home from school, you'd passed an innocent, empty alleyway - or so you thought. You heard sudden shouts and thumps and with the curiosity that took over you, you just HAD to see what was going on. You walked down the footpath slowly, to find 3 boys all ganging up on a boy with his back against the wall - Chen. One of the boys, the tallest, stepped forward and grabbed Chen's collar, pulling him forward. You recognized the boy, his name was Park Chanyeol and no one messed with him. Chen raised his fist, hitting Chanyeol's face with an almighty thud. Chanyeol stumbled back, dropping Chen and feeling the small trickle of blood falling from his mouth. You realized that you should've stopped it then, but you were so stunned you froze, your brain not letting you move from that spot.

After a few minutes, the punching had started, fists and feet flying everywhere, the two boys with Chanyeol chanting his name over and over again. You had to act fast, as Chanyeol had pinned Chen down, trying to stop Chen's hands from squirming around. Chanyeol pressed his knees against Chen's arms and had one of his hands gripping on Chen's neck tightly.

Do something!! You yelled at yourself.

Chanyeol raised his fist high and slow, watching Chen try to wriggle out of his unbreakable grip. You had to stop this...NOW!

"H-Hey!" You stuttered, watching Chanyeol turn his head to you, his hand still in the air. "Leave him alone!"

In the end, you persuaded him to let Chen go, bringing him to your house so you could treat his wounds, which took him a long time to surrender to.

"He provoked me!" Chen huffed as you laid the wet cloth you were patting on his face on the table next to you.

"You could've avoided confrontation." You looked at his face, your eyes gazing over his bruises and cuts.

He shrugged, looking away from you and shifting in his chair.

"Is there anything else I need to assess?" You asked, standing up and pulling out a small pack of plasters from the green medical kit laid out on the table.

Chen looked up at you with his puppy-like eyes, quickly looking away and rubbing his arm. He shook his head, biting his bottom lip gently. You could tell he might have been hiding something, but you weren't 100% sure.

"Okay," You smiled slightly. "I'm just going to put some of these on your face, is that alright?"

He nodded, running a shaky, bruised hand through his soft hair.

You pulled out the packet, ripping off a small, rectangular plaster and studying Chen's face and hands, wondering where to put it. You bent over slightly, your face inches away from his. Delicately, you placed the plaster over a small cut above his eyebrow, gently smoothing down the sides so it stuck down better.

"You're very gentle with what you do," Chen suddenly spoke out, almost making you drop the next plaster. "I've noticed that for a while. You'd make a great girlfriend..."

You stared at him with wide eyes, wondering if he did actually say what he just said. He pressed a hand to his mouth, his cheeks flushing a bright red.

"..I-I-I mean.." He stuttered, trying to save himself.

You just giggled, carefully picking up his hand and delicately tracing a small, red cut on the back of it, which cut across one of his veins.

"It's okay," You smiled at him, being very gentle with the plaster, smoothing it down as softly as you could. "I get what you meant."

"R-Really?" He asked, his cheeks growing pink again.

You nodded with a chuckle, turning away to pack up the medical kit. You heard shuffling from Chen, then the creek of a chair. You swirled around to see him struggling to stand up, clutching onto the chair he had been sitting on. Chen scrunched up his face and bent over, letting out a small growl. You rushed to his side, making him sit down and checking him over once more.

"Don't, Chen," You quickly zipped up the back, trying not to take your eyes off of him for a few seconds. "You need to rest for a while."

"I'm fine," He grunted through gritted teeth. "Really."

"You just got beaten up! Please at least stay her for a few more minutes." You pleaded, sitting down on the chair in front of him, pulling it closer so your knees where touching slightly.

He just scoffed, leaning his head back, showing you a perfect angle to his jawline. You had to admit it, he was very attractive and you were very happy to be close to him to treat his war wounds.

"Thanks." Chen said after he sat up, looking at you with a slight smoulder.

"You're welcome." You smiled at him, looking down at your feet.

He raised his hand to his lip, feeling the cut over the cracked skin and playing with it.

"Hey," You laid a hand on his arm to get him to stop. "You'll make it worse."

Chen's hand slowly went down, finding it's place on his lap.

A few seconds of awkward silence passed, before he broke it with his velvety voice.

"Y'know..I never realized how pretty you were until now," He made you look up at him with confusion. "And you're very cute too."

All you could do was blush and look away, holding in your squeals and smiles. Chen leaned forward, letting his fingers inch their way to your chin, pushing it up softly so you would face him. He peered into your face with his sparkly, chocolatey coloured eyes, smiling widely.

"Thank you, ____."

"You're wel-" Before you could finish your sentence, a pair of lips had latched onto yours.

You froze for a few seconds, soon melting into the kiss. Chen's hand travelled to the back of your neck, as you laid yours on his chest, feeling his heart beating rapidly. You both continued to kiss each other repeatedly for a while, but finally, you both decided that oxygen was always a good idea...

Chen looked at you with a gentle look, a smile turning up the corners of his mouth.

"And you're a really good kisser."
