Xiumin - Late confession

"Yah! Oppa!" You yelled breathlessly, running after your best friend. "Wait for me~!!"

He turned around, a look of confusion on his face, which quickly faded into a large grin. He lent against the school gates coolly, stuffing his hands into his pockets and looking at you with his irresistible, dark eyes.

"I thought you were already in." Xiumin chuckled as you reached him, wheezing and spluttering.

"Alarm clock...Stopped working..." You spoke between deep breaths, standing up slowly.

Xiumin stood forward and pulled your arm so you were closer to him, dodging a group of school kids marching past, chatting and laughing away.

You didn't realize that you were fully pressed against him until the group passed, looking up at him for a moment, soon jumping back and blushing like mad. It was strange being so close to the guy you've liked since you were kids.

"C'mon." Xiumin smiled sweetly, wrapping his arm around your shoulders and guiding you through the school gates and into the large building.

"And that, class, is how to simplify the square root of any number." The teacher announced, turning her back to the class and rubbing the confusing chalk off of the blackboard. Good riddance!

"Did you understand any of that?" Xiumin leaned over to you, whispering through his teeth.

"Nope." You whispered back, keep your eyes at the front of the class.

"I hear talking!" The teacher hissed, turning around and narrowing her eyes at the class.

Both you and Xiumin sat up straight, pretending like it wasn't you two. As she turned back to place the board rubber down, the bell ringed loudly, signalling lunch. And about time too!

"Class is dismissed." She sighed, sitting down at her desk and staring at her laptop screen.

You quickly packed up your things and ran out the room, swiftly followed by Xiumin, who immediately joined your side.

"That lesson was so confusing!" He sighed, running a hand through his messy hair.

"I know!" You groaned, turning a corner which lead down another corridor. "I really didn't understand a thing."

Xiumin hummed in agreement, abruptly stopping in his tracks and looking ahead with shock.

"Umin?" You asked, stepping closer to him, letting a few students pass by. "Are you okay?"

"It's her, Linah." He whispered to you, pulling you away quickly to the doorway of the disabled toilet, which had a cut out part in the wall.

"Who? Science Linah?" You asked, raising your eyebrow.

'Science Linah' was the infamous Linah who sat next to Xiumin in science class and was always his lab partner. You could tell she had a crush on him, but would never go away - she was like a leech. One day, Xiumin actually lied to her and said that you were his girlfriend (You were secretly happy about that), but she just brushed it off and continued to be creepy. She never asked again about you or if you were still 'dating', so you just dropped it.

"Yes! Science Linah!" Xiumin squealed quietly, looking really anxious.

"What about her?" You asked, laughing a little. "I thought you liked her."

"Don't be stupid, ___," He gave you an unimpressed look and peered around the corner, quickly pulling his head back. "She keeps following me, asking me questions about my hobbies, about where I live, and the weirdest one - Do you have a pet?"
