so a lot of people liked logan's appearance in the last chapter so we have some more family fluff things!!

reminder: beck and jade are about 24 and logan is 2 turning 3 in this chapter ;)

logan oliver was stressed. stressed was probably an understatement. all day long his parents had been telling him just how excited he should be about his birthday. there had been promises of cake and presents and lots and lots of fun.

"mama" he waddled out into the kitchen, following jade close behind.

"lo i promise everyone is gonna be here soon" she turned around to face him and he smiled his biggest toothy smile.

"der' gonna be lotsa' pwesents?" logan mumbled, gnawing on the carrot stick jade had handed him.

"swallow" she instructed, biting back a laugh at her very excited almost three year old.

she walked over to him, pushing his dark hair back out of his face.

"you always have it so messy just like daddy" she commented on his hair, trying to neatly arrange the little boys hair.

"what's like daddy?" beck asked, shocking jade slightly as she looked up to see him walking into the kitchen.

"bubba's messy hair" she raised an eyebrow and beck looked down at logan's head.

"don't listen to mommy, i think it looks cool. you look like a little bad boy" he joked, ruffling the boys hair around.

"see? that's exactly what i'm afraid of" jade pointed out and beck smirked.

"what you don't like bad boys?" beck teased stepping closer to her and she smiled.

"i have no problem with them, but not when they're 2 years old" she raised her eyebrows at him in warning and he just smiled.

"cmon he's gonna get all the ladies, just look at him" beck protested pointing to logan and when both of his parents eyes landed on him, logan grinned up at them.

"ladies!" logan repeated and beck tried not to laugh.

"oh joy" jade sighed, turning away from the boys to continue cutting carrot sticks for logan to chew on.

she was more than a little worried for the day to come, there was going to be probably pounds of sugar and she just wasn't sure her little body could handle it. she was practically stress feeding him carrot sticks, hoping maybe he could balance out the sugar rush that was definitely going to hit him later on.

"what time is everyone getting here?" beck asked, pushing in the chairs around their table and pulling out a towel to wipe down the counter tops. the couple wasn't exactly used to guests.

"about half an hour" jade answered. "everyone" was really just tori, andre, cat, robbie, cat and robbies dog named giraffe, and tori and andres 7 month old, clara. but it was way more people than the three they were used to.

becks parents had mentioned wanting to stop by at some point and jades dad had reassured her he would most definitely not be making an appearance.

it wasn't exactly the best situation. when jade fell pregnant at 20, her dad was livid. he immediately kicked her out, shunning her until logan's birth, where he sent her a letter, telling the couple his disinterest in meeting his grandson. he'd never met logan, and frankly, both beck and jade wanted to keep it that way.

becks parents had been much more understanding. immediately taking jade in and treating her as their own, before and after the birth. they were getting back from a vacation today, and it depended on what time their flight got in if they could drop by the party. but it didn't matter, because they were around almost all the time to watch logan, so they would celebrate with him at some point soon.
