"lo tell grammy what you're doing" jade suggested across the kitchen to logan.

"i cookin!" he smiled proudly at becks mom who praised the little boy immensely. logan quickly focused back on his clearly very important task of placing the sliced bread into the bread basket. but after all it was logan, and every piece had to be placed just right, and jade couldn't help but smile at how much their little boy was like beck.

it was thanksgiving day, and both of becks parents were coming over to celebrate with the four of them. it was the very first time they had hosted a big meal, especially with their very little knowledge of cooking, but it was just going to be the six of them and beck had convinced jade they could do it.

"mommy careful your ring!" logan gasped as jade ran her hands under the water from the sink.

beck and jade had gone to the courthouse about a month ago and made it official. about a day later they had come back each with wedding bands. wedding bands which logan and nina had decided to take very importantly, always telling them to be careful not to loose them or ruin them.

"i'm being careful lo it's ok" she hushed him and he turned back to arranging the bread in his basket.

"mama" nina mumbled from her place in becks arms as he carried her down the stairs. jade turned and smiled at her one year old who was rubbing her eyes.

"look who's awake" she reached her arms out as nina grabbed onto her shirt and beck handed her over.

"hi bug" she tickled her stomach lightly and ninas giggles intensified as the toddler began to wake up.

"oh my baby" becks mom beamed at the little girl who was smiling as big as she could now with her toothy little smile. nina whimpered softly as she was handed to becks mothers but jade hushed her quickly as she began to interest herself in becks moms shirt.

"you like grammy cuddles?" beck swooped in quickly, standing behind his mom and making funny faces until nina was laughing happily and becks mom was practically melting from cuteness.

"can you say grammy?" beck encouraged and nina seemed to ponder the question as she looked at him blankly.

"no" she shrugged finally and beck scoffed looking at jade who snickered.

"she's got an attitude" jade commented, smiling up at beck who had walked over to her.

"hm i wonder where she gets that from?" beck shot back smirking, and jade gasped in fake shock.

"and how is my third grandchild doing?" becks mom came in, interrupting their conversation but jade smiled at her nonetheless.

"they're good, sort of jumping on my bladder lately" she smiled, making light conversation.

"i can even see the bump coming through!" she exclaimed and beck smiled, putting his hand on her stomach to feel the baby bump beneath her shirt.

"do we know the gender yet?" she looked up hopefully at beck and jade who gave her pathetic looks.

"we are choosing not to know" beck sighed and his mother nodded knowingly.

"babe can you take them to wash their hands i'm just gonna finish setting the table?" beck called out to jade from the kitchen and she ushered her children into the bathroom.

if there was one thing she learned from having kids it was that washing your hands could take 10 seconds or 10 minutes. logan liked to stand there and watch each bubble and scrub his hands for what felt like hours before he was satisfied. nina on the other hand refused to soak her hands for more than 5 seconds before yanking them away and drying them as quick as she could.
