testing...1...2...3

this is set when jade finds out she is pregnant with logan!! ages are around 19-20 for beck and obviously fetus for logan

no. there weren't. there weren't two lines. she had to be going blind. that was it, blind. that was the only way she could've been seeing two lines on the white test in front of her.

it was impossible. she wasn't pregnant. it wasn't positive. it just wasn't. he always wore a condom. it just couldn't have happened. a mistake like this was detrimental, and she refused to think they could have made it.

there was a harsh knock on the bathroom door.

shit.

"jade? is everything ok?" beck asked from outside, his fist knocking against the door in an agonizing pound.

"ya, i'm um i'm not sick anymore" she told him softly. ok so it wasn't the whole truth, but it wasn't a lie either.

"ok, if you need anything i'm right out here" he added softly and she made a soft noise of acknowledgment.

the cold tile of the floor began to sting under her bare knees. the test had been discarded into the trash quickly after her inevitable realization and panic. maybe if she wished hard enough it wouldn't be true.

she felt like she was set to autopilot, opening the bathroom door and going back to the main part of becks rv.

"hey, come lie down you don't look so good" he encouraged, patting her spot on the bed next to him. she swallowed hard, standing in front of the bathroom door with a mannequin like expression plastered across her face.

"are you feeling better?" he prompted again when she didn't move.

ok, so maybe using a stomach bug as an excuse to leave toris early was a bad idea. she had just wanted to take the test alone, and definitely not in her own house, so becks rv had seemed like a great option. she should've known he would follow her back.

"i have a funny fucking story" she blurted out suddenly, a grin growing on her face as she basked in the disbelief of the whole situation.

beck raised an eyebrow, weary of her sudden mood change.

"oh ya?" he asked, keeping her interested.

"ohhhh ya" she annunciated each word, ending with a small laugh. he expected her to sit down but she stood in front of the bathroom door, with a far away look in her eye.

"ok, so you know... sex" she stated suddenly, her voice masked by laughs that he was beginning to realize were not so genuine.

"yes jade i know sex" he humored her, extremely confused with her demeanor. she never laughed like this, not when she was drunk off her ass.

"and you know how we have a lot of it" she added on, making exaggerated hand gestures as she talked.

beck nodded,

"yes we do have a lot of sex"

jade took a deep, although shaky breath in. and that's when he saw how her eyes were wet and her lips were bright red and swollen. yet she was somewhat still smiling at him like a cheshire cat.

"what's wrong baby?" he stood up suddenly, rushing to her side when her laughs turned to gasps for air and then to heaving, breathy sobs.

"hey hey hey catch your breath" he told her gently, cradling her body in his arms in an attempt to make her feel safe. she was shaking violently and the days mascara was flooding down her cheeks and staining the red flannel of his shirt she was wearing.

"i think..." she said in a small voice and he pulled away from their hug to look her in the eye. she shuddered at his expression but willed herself to go on.

"i'm pregnant" she breathed out quietly and beck stayed still. nothing moved for a few minutes. she stood teary eyed and flushed as he looked at her for what could've been forever.

"i- um..." he stuttered, regaining his composure after a second.

"you think?" he clarified, the words she had said earlier repeating in his mind like a drum.

"well, i mean, i'm pretty sure" she mumbled, looking down to her stomach. clearly, there was nothing there. besides ya know a growing life. their growing life.

"pretty sure?" he said again and she nodded. he wasn't looking at her anymore, just right through her like a ghost.

"did you um..." he cleared his throat,

"take a test?"

she nodded,

"just now" she confirmed.

"can i um can i see it?" beck asked quietly and jade shrunk in front of him.

"i uh threw it away" she mustered to whisper and beck looked at her blankly.

"smart move" he with a slight nod and she honestly couldn't tell whether or not he was being sarcastic.

"i'm gonna just sit down" he breathed out, the air in the room feeling increasingly harder to breathe in. she watched as he stumbled over to his bed, sitting down on the edge looking down at the ground.

she opened her mouth to say something, but was struck with the realization that there was nothing to say.

pregnant. there wasn't much else to explain.

"is that it?" he breathed out finally and she furrowed her eyebrows.

"what? you want more life changing news? sorry that's all i got for today" she joked lightly and he cracked a smile.

he had always known jade would be his future. he just didn't expect it to come so quickly.

"i mean what else is there to say" jade sighed eventually and he nodded. he looked up at her big blue eyes and her tear stained cheeks, grabbing her hand and pulling her to sit next to him.

"i..." he paused.

"i love you so much. no matter what happens. you know that, don't you?" he told her softly, reaching up to tuck a piece of her black hair behind her ear as she  swallowed a sob.

"i know" she mumbled, burying her face in the red flannel of his shirt as he brushed his hands through her hair.

"and because of i love you no matter what," he started and she looked up at him.

"i will be with you throughout this entire thing. from now until forever." he whispered and he watched as a smile grew on her face.

"we're only 19" jade muttered suddenly and beck swallowed and nodded.

"you know in the olden days that was the prime time for childbirth" he laughed softly and she turned to slap his chest playfully.

"i'm not kidding" she told him and he laughed.

"neither am i!" he shot back and she began to laugh.

"we're gonna be ok" he smiled at her and she sighed, a smile resting on her lips.

"i know"
