Chapter 33

Patchstar felt beat up, he killed his own mother, it was his own fault his mother was evil, and his fault his sister was evil, everything of his family was evil.

He curled up in his nest, tears rolling down his face.

Then he fell asleep, still very upset.

He opened his eyes. "hello? Anyone?" "daddy, help!" He turned his head at his daughters, Redsquirrel and Fire. Petal had them pinned down.

"get off of them!" he hissed, hackles rising, all of his guilt washed away into anger.

"Patchstar! Larch!" he looked at a brown she-cat with cream patches. "S-Sunrise?" the she-cat was alive?!

"that's right, she will be training with me."

Larch growled in anger. "never!" He unsheathed his claws and leaped at her.

He clawed down her hind leg and nipped at her neck, but Petal kicked him off.

Larch ripped her ear, Petal grabbed Sunrise by her belly and back, Patchstar's hackles rose.

she nearly bit down, but Patchstar pinned her down and Larch grabbed the kits.

"these kits are MapleClan's, they can't have the blame for the death of Mapleshade, blame me!"

Petal grinned. "I was going to kill you. But I guess not, you are the leader after all!"

He growled. "Mapleshade didn't deserve to die!" Petal hissed. "she did, remember what she did to your kits!"

Petal grinned. "you thought she did it? no!" the claws under her paws slid out, she leaned against his ear. "I did it!"

Patchstar widened his eyes and slammed her head to the ground.

"Traitor!"

Patchstar slitted her belly and kept her down.

Larch was tearing up. "you will never win..." "why not?"

Larch stood up and placed a paw on her belly. "because...I am leader of ClawClan."

Petal widened her eyes. "what is that supposed to mean---" Larch bit down at her neck and tossed her into a pond.

Petal got up and jumped on the highrock, she called the dark forest and grinned.

"attack!" dark forest cats charged at Larch, before anything else happened, Patchstar opened his eyes.

He gasped, Sunrise could still be alive!
