"Let the revolution continue!" Korg shouted, raising the rifle above his head in a hurrah. I smiled and raised my fist in response.
"To the revolution!" Loyalty means everything to the clones.
How ironic. Loyalty. As they raised their blasters to the Jedi, the Jedi that fought with them for so many years. As they fired upon younglings despite their innocence. As they followed into the depth of the dark side, the Empire.
It was not their fault.
They could have tried harder.
That is not fair.
They should have listened to Fives.
Did you? And you performed the procedure. If you are to blame anyone, it would be yourself. You are the reason they are all dead.
I shook my head and stepped through the crowd of fighters to the door to swipe the code. As the doors opened, the fighters rushed into the garage, all screaming for the revolution, the alarms began to blare from inside. Someone set off our location. Quickly, I approached the transponder for the ship when I noticed a mass, twitching on the floor. Great...
Speaking of loyalty.
From outside the room, the announcement of the Grandmaster was clearly heard shouting through the sirens and over the speakers. "Loyal Sakaarians, Lord of Thunder has stolen my ship and my favorite champion. Sakaarians, take to the skies. Bring him down. Do not let him leave this planet."
I pulled the taser from my pocket and brought it to face the boy, releasing him from the planted controller. Sorry, Grandmaster, but I am no Sakaarian. I am not sure who I am anymore. But, Thor should be entering the wormhole by now anyways. Loki groaned as the device deactivated. "Good afternoon, Loki. So glad you could finally join our operation."
The fighters gathered around Loki, all peering down on him. Loki slowly got up from the floor as he readjusted his collar. Glancing at me gruffly, he responded with a simple but exhausted, "Thank you..."
From behind me, Korg spoke to a large ship in front of us all, "There she is. Our ticket out of here."
As he peered around me, he noticed Loki, "Hey, man. We're about to jump on that ginormous spaceship. You wanna come?"
I placed my hand on my hip, that was essentially the idea from before that Thor had told me, given he believed Loki would try to backstab him. I guess he was right. Loki stared hard at me as he responded to Korg, breathing heavily all the while, "Well, you do seem like... you're in desperate need of leadership..."
"You understand that I can still tase you, correct?" I replied, flipping the taser around my hand.
"I thought you were against violence?" Loki asked, eyeing the taser's movements carefully.
"It doesn't seem all that violent should my finger accidentally slip and left it to drop to pieces," I answered simply. It was a lie, however, I could never bring myself to willingly hurt another, despite the pain they had caused me. I focused back on the transponder, the sirens blaring all the while. The main guards and ships would be focused on stopping Thor and the rest, not a few fighters that had escaped now. I took the last access code and swiped it, granting us access to the biggest ship, the Statesman. I turned to the men grouped around me, "We need to prepare the ship for usage, it has not been used in many years."
