Natasha's jacket was beginning to turn from brown to red as my arm slowly bled. It wasn't too serious. I could still fight and Thor's appearance only meant that we had more of a chance at winning. I smiled as Thor took on several more monsters with ease. As much as I wanted the thought to be comforting, the tingly sensation in my head told me otherwise.

The creature from the New York threw a new weapon, knocking Sam from the sky as he did so. I chewed the inside of my cheek. If I did it once, I could do it again. The creature turned, bored of playing with his bird on the ground, to me. Upon seeing me, his face contorted in fury and he gave a mighty roar.

I smiled, glad that I didn't have to initiate a fight for him to charge after me, which he did. The creature threw his weapon, but I used it only to increased my speed as I jumped over it, pushing off. I slammed a Force strengthened punch into his head, sending him back several feet. I swept my legs as I landed, pulling the weapon by the chain with it. I clipped my sabre pack to my belt and ran around the creature, pulling the chain around its neck. He roared as he struggled to catch a breath. I pulled the chain tighter as the ground shook.

I lost my focus as an enormous earthquake erupted, sending the ground beneath us up until large wheels of spikes were exploded from the ground. Sending dirt everywhere, eating anything that touched it.

The king attempted to shout over all the noise, "Fall back! Fall back, now!"

The spiked wheels rolled forward, taking Wakandans underneath. The collections of wheels broke off, becoming individual chains of terror. They were moving too fast for me to stop with the Force. The creature beneath me took my distraction as an advantage as he wrapped the chain around my legs. It pulled from underneath, taking me down as my head crashed to the ground. The creature began pulling me closer, chain link after chain link. I desperately grabbed at the chains, attempting to untwine my legs.

From behind the creature jumped Thor as he brought the ax down upon the beast, severing its head from its body. Resting on my elbow, I leaned back my head and let out a sigh of relief. Thor came over and grabbed my bicep, pulling me to my feet. Upon seeing his face, I realized he had a new eye in place of the one he lost. This one brown instead of electric blue.

"Xodiva!" He smiled, pulling me into a tight hug. Surprised, I stumbled a bit. I haven't been hugged in... well... I can't remember the last time someone hugged me. I smiled and closed my arms around him. When he broke free, his face was still smiling as he took in my appearance, still holding my shoulder in his hand. His other hand was holding my right shoulder, I tried my best not to wince. Beside us, the humanoid tree gave a mighty, high pitched roar as he stabbed an extended limb through the stomachs' of several monsters, flying them through the air.

Thor opened his arm in greeting to the Kindalo sort creature. "Ah, Xodiva, this is my friend, Tree."

Tree turned to me, his face quite angry as he stabbed another man. I held back a laugh, he was so violent for a creature of that size.

"I am Groot!" He shouted at me. I waved my hand.

"Hello, Groot. I am Xodiva," I replied. As I smiled at Groot, the realization hit me. My eyes widen as I turned back to Thor. He was alive after Thanos attacked us. I had seen the golden-eyed man die but that did not mean others had died.

"Thor... where is Loki? Is he alright?" I asked. I hated the hopeful sound in my voice as I said it. He was working with Thanos, apparently, but he set the Hulk on him. Thor turned his face back to me. His smile dropping as he did so.
