This could not possibly be real. The monsters around him were shocked off the bridge as he jumped upon them. His presence called the attention of the creatures trying to board the ship, but they stood no chance against him as he walked down the bridge.
There he was, in the flesh. The god of Thunder.
I gaped as he made his way over to the ship to meet up with the rest of the Revengers. Loki rolled and flipped his helmet as he took out several of the monsters. From the water, a green monster fought against a large wolf. The monster, I recognized, was the Grandmaster's champion, the Incredible Hulk. I cracked a smile as Bruce battled the dark grey wolf below, but it was cut short as a woman staggered at my feet as she clutched her hand close to her chest. The red blood was left glistening on her beautiful golden gown. I wrapped my arm around her centre and pulled her inside the ship as Scrapper 142 passed by me, wearing the traditional clothing of her culture as I could only assume.
"The outfit suits you, Scrapper," I called, supporting the woman.
"Thanks, but I'm not a scrapper anymore," Scrapper 142 hollered back as she walked past.
"Then who are you?" I asked.
"I'm a Valkyrie," She replied. I smiled. She had finally found peace with her past it would seem. I brought the woman inside and sat her down next to a man with an unusually large hunchback. After treating her deeply cut hand, I turned back to see the people shoving one another to get onto the ship.
A small girl was trapped in the middle of one of the quarrels. I ran over and pulled the men off one another, freeing the girl. A woman ran over and grabbed the girl's hand, soothing the child's tears with her own hand as she rubbed the girl's head. I turned to find another woman holding her shoulder which had been slashed by a sword.
There was so much pain here. It was just like the wars. It was. The injuries. The wounded. It was as though I was back on the front lines treating the injured clones as they whispered how they were meant to die. How they were meant to be expendable. But they weren't and I would not let them die, so I will not let these people die here.
Besides me, a mother clutched her child close to her chest as she whispered a prayer to their savior, whoever he may be. From outside, the fighting was continuing. One monster, in particular, rushed the entrance to the cargo bay. I kicked him over the edge with a swift knock. Another took its place and grabbed my throat. It clenched tightly as my windpipe closed. I grabbed for my lightsabre, but I could not reach it without taking my hand off the beasts'. The people behind me screamed as I was lifted from the ground.
As the world became darker and oxygen was cut off from my brain, the monster released his grasp, dropping me to the floor. I coughed as I rolled onto my backside, the monster dropping next to me. A sword stuck out from its stomach. Holding my throat, I looked up to find my savior, a man with golden eyes and dreadlocks that went below his shoulders. His complexion was darker than the clones, closer to that of Master Windu's. I cringed at the comparison. He reached out his hand for me to take and pulled me to my feet.
"Thank you," I said, my voice coming out in a rasp. He studied me as his golden eyes pierced my mind, scanning me. The woman with the child appeared behind me and grasped his hand, shouting thank yous. He smiled and returned his eyes to me when she left.
"Glad we could gain the reinforcements of a Jedi Knight," He replied. I gave a soft smile, the fact that he knew my origins did not bother me in the slightest for some odd reason. And yet, the thoughts in my mind screamed against the title he gave me. I was, after all, nothing but a fallen padawan. "I see you know your medical actions and treatment."
