The golden sunrise is bright, shinning through the large garage windows, as we walk to our assigned Quinjets. Padmé stands behind the tracking panel, her hair clipped up into a bun held in place with a pen, showing her readiness to make sure each of us make it to our proper destination. I, and the rest of the Avengers, are dressed in our respective fatigues. Steve in his bright blue, red, and white completed with a matching shield and I, for the first time, am wearing the gift Natasha gifted to me all those years ago. I love every aspect of the robes I wear, a reminder of my home and what I stand for, even now, after the order has fallen.

A collection of a dark maroon clothing, specifically a short sleeved turtle neck with a light brown tank top crossing at the front. Thrown over my left shoulder, coming to a sleeve that ends at my elbow, is a piece of greyish brown fabric that falls on either side of me to my top shin. It is held stable by a dark maroon brown belt around my waist along with a sash of similar belt material looped down my hips. Darker brown grey leggings are pared with more dark maroon boots that come just below the fabric. Around my neck is my master's kyber crystal and, clipped to my belt, is the final two stim packs and the very lightsaber I used the day I became a padwan and the day my past died.

Padmé smiles as I move my way towards her and whistles, "No man will be standing when he sees you, literally, cause, you look like you could take out anyone."

I cannot help but notice the use of her terms. Padmé never spoke in such ways, she was so proper, what has happened in the time that has elapsed. I smile, "All thanks to Natasha, although, I am not a hundred percent on board with me looking like I could kill someone."

I look down, taking the durable fabric in my hands. Steve pats my shoulder, "You're carrying a laser sword that can cut through anything. I think that was already covered."

I roll my eyes at his back, turning back to Padmé who laughs and looks back at the panel.

"What?" I laugh.

"You made that face to Nex all the time when we were younger," She replies, meeting my eyes. I laugh as I allow the memories from the cavern to reel in my mind, reminding me of our meetings on Naboo, when my mother traveled with the young Duchess. "A trait you learned from him no doubt."

Of course she remembers Nex from those visits. I was four then, seven years younger than the girl who served as a royal handmaiden in training. The now stands before me as a woman. A friend. A sister.

"You look every bit like the Jedi you were raised to be," She smiles, brushing a bit of my hair back. I struggle to avoid wincing as her eyes smile into mine. Her words mean a lot to me, but I can not say I am a Jedi any longer.

"We're ready for you, Xoe," Steve calls. I give a swift nod, hugging Padmé goodbye before running to each Quinjet to ignite them with my crystal. The groups rejoins in the centre when I finish, preparing to say our final goodbyes before we leave.

"Five years ago we lost, all of us," Steve says, holding his head high and his shield against him. "We lost friends. We lost family. We lost a part of ourselves."

By my side now, he grabs my shoulder in a firm grasp as he looks around the group before him. I give him a small smile as he returns in with his own, "Today, we have a chance to take it all back. You know your teams. You know your missions. Get the stones. Get them back. No mistakes."

The group tenses, staring at Steve as he speaks. I take his hand with my own, with my left, as I let out a heavy breath.

"Most of us are going somewhere we know. That doesn't mean we should know what to expect. Be careful. Look out for each other. This is the fight of our lives... and we're gonna win. Whatever it takes. Good luck."
