Chapter 21- Zuko's Decisions and Consequences

It was dead night when Nico woke up to Iroh gently but aggressively shaking her awake.

Nico groans opening one eye. "Iroh? What are you doing? Can't you see Zuko and I are trying to catch some z's?"

Nico looks at her side to see Zuko is not beside her.

"Where is Zuko?"

"I am afraid he's gone after the avatar's bison." Iroh responds.

Nico slams her head in her pillow in frustration. 'Really Zuko? Really?'

"When did he leave?" Nico asks.

"About a couple minutes ago, hurry we need to catch up now."

"Get a head start, I'll be close behind you." Nico says, walking into her mothers closet and quickly pulls out an all black outfit.

Iroh nods his head and exits the room.

After quickly changing, Nico exits the room and runs down the steps.

"Grammy, I love you, I'll see you soon." Nico didn't wait for her grandma to respond, she bolts out the house, creating an earth wave as she catches up with Iroh.

Nico and Iroh travel a good distance behind Zuko.

As the pair are slowly but quickly following after Zuko, Iroh attempts to make small talk.

"So Nico,"

"Yes, Iroh."

"You and my nephew huh?"

Nico almost choked. "How did you? You know what never mind, yeah, I suppose so."

"Took long enough, I was starting to wonder whe-"
Iroh was cut off by Nico placing her palm on his mouth. "Shh." She says as they end up on a beach where Zuko had followed an Dai Lee agent into a tunnel which immediately closed.

Nico walked over to the shore and bended a path underneath the water, there was the tunnel. Nico pulled the cover and tossed it into the ocean, there revealed a latter which led to the tunnel.

Peeking down a corridor, Nico searched for the biggest room, which she thought Appa would be held in.

She opened the door to discover Aang and the crew along side the freedom fighters, fighting a bunch of the Dai Lee Agents. She gasped closing the door quickly.

"Aang and his friends are here, we have to find Zuko quick."

Nico and Iroh went down the hall, coming to stop at a huge metal door, that was cracked opened. 

"You're mine now."

Iroh and Nico stepped into the cell and shut the door behind them.

Zuko spun around with his blue mask.

"Nico? Uncle?" He gasped.

"So, the Blue Spirit." Iroh said. "I wonder who could be behind that mask."

Nico played along. "Definitely not my boyfriend or your nephew, right Iroh?"

Zuko sighs taking off his mask. "What are you two doing here?"

"Coming to get your stupid ass." Nico replied.
