》Chapter 28 mirrors Chapter 18. In both times, Maple and Glen had their quiet and alone time but gets interrupted when they're about to kiss. Third times the charm so Glen finally went for it when they didn't know if they're gonna survive in the dream. Also, I liked to point out that Glen asked for consent. Be like Glen! (except if you want an element of surprise which hopefully turns out great)
》Maple was indeed in the afterlife and she talked to her parents. But she chose to stay alive and go back.
》Chapter 30 - Door Sequences.
Glen, Nancy, Maple ended up in the boiler room not long after going into the basement ; Maple left the afterlife, returning to the dream by going to the backdoor; the three of them left the dream when they went through the front door.
Real Life > Dream > Afterlife > Dream > Real Life
》Maple's gloves worked as a symbol for her being secretive. The gloves are shield and armor (as stated in Chapter Ten) and Maple is at her most secretive. When she lost it with struggling from her grandparents, that was because she also found dark secrets from the past and she herself exposed it to her grandparents. By using the towels to wrap her hands with, it showed that she's slowly letting (her) secrets spill. And when she finally removed it trying to rescue Glen, it meant that she was willing to finally let herself be known and she wasn't afraid anymore.
