17. The Beginning Of The End I

I pass out one last slice of pizza to a football player before throwing the empty box away.

"Hey, I'll see you later?" I ask Farrah as I grab my backpack off of a random chair

Farrah furrows her eyebrows at me.

"Where are you going?" She asks with a confused tone of voice

I smile a her cute expression.

"I have to go talk to a teacher before third period" I tell her

The ash blonde haired girl nods her head at me.

"Wait," she stops me before I walk away from her

"Can I get your number?" The girl asks

I raise an amused eyebrow at her.

"I mean, I may not be able to get it at Prom" she nervously scratches the back of her head

I smile at her nervousness and put my number in her cellphone.

"You know, I haven't thanked you for helping me with all this" I say

I hand the ash blonde haired girl her phone back.

"You're just being nice, I barely did anything" she tries to brush off but I cut her off

"Please, I wouldn't have been able to do all of this by myself" I admit

Farrah frowns at my statement.

"Don't doubt yourself Haley," she tells me in a motherly tone

"Not only are you insanely persuasive, you're also incredibly driven," she smiles

"You can do a lot with those abilities" she takes my hand in hers

I smile at her, my heart jumping joyfully in my chest.

Due to my silence, Farrah and I admire each other for a bit longer than we probably should have.

I break our silence by awkwardly laughing.

"Would you go at the time, I have to look" I accidentally mix up my words

I speed walk out of the cafeteria, too embarrassed to even look back at her.

I fix my hair as I do a quick glance over of my outfit.

I am currently wearing a long taupe blazer and high-waisted taupe skirt set, since it did not come with a shirt I paired it with a brown halter top.

I paired this outfit with brown high top converse, not in the mood for heels considering I am wearing some to Prom later, and gold jewelry.
