Haley's POV
I continuously tap the bottom of my ballpoint pen against the circular wooden table that I am sat at.
The aroma of hazelnut coffee wafting though the coffee shop as my heavy eyes stare dead at my computer screen.
My cursor blinks repetitively on my screen, patiently waiting for my next move.
I groan and slam my pen down on the table before bringing my hands up to cover my face.
I have a headache.
I have been at this coffee shop, library hybrid area all morning!
At first I was finishing up one of my papers for a class, but after I finished that I decided to finish my book.
About a year ago I made the decision to move onto campus not only because it would save a lot of gas, but also a bunch of time.
While I was packing up my bedroom I ran across my childhood diary which was hiding underneath my bed.
I took a brief break from packing up my stuff and flipped through the diary, soon running across the notes that I jotted down from the day that my mom died.
The notes were specifically about how my parents fell in love, except it was told from my mother's point of view.
I took the notes from said diary and decided to turn it into a manuscript, with my mother's permission of course.
I have most of the story written, the problem is the ending.
My notes end with my mother mentioning something about my mom's seventeenth birthday.
While I like this ending I also think that ending this book with their Prom night would also be an intriguing idea.
I have been internally fighting with myself over an ending for almost two hours now!
I remove my hands from my face and run one of my hands through my hair. I maneuver my fingers through my hair so that my middle part is covered by the hair on the other side of my head.
I sigh with frustration and remove my fingers from my blonde hair, some of the hair falling back to its original position, giving me a messy side part.
My computer dings, alerting me that I have forty-five minutes until my next class.
Ugh!
This is hopeless!
Why do I have to be so indecisive?!
I frustratedly pick up my pen, going to anxiously tap it against the surface of the table again only to gasp when it suddenly flies out of my hand.
Oh no!
I quickly turn around in my seat, my blue eyes following the flying pen.
The pen stays airborne for no more than three seconds before finding a target.
Unfortunately the target is the back of a woman's head.
"Ouch!" She says as her hand shoots out to cover the affected area
Shit!
I jump up from my seat and immediately make my way towards her.
"I am so sorry! I didn't mean to hit you in the head! It was an accident! I was picking up my pen and it accidentally slipped out of my hand! I didn't hurt you did I?!" I rant out as I approach the girl
