Okay.
Today is the first round of Prom voting.
I have no clue why they are literally having it the week before statewide testing, but that is besides the point.
I need to do everything and anything possible to win, well after I'm nominated.
I need this.
I need to be better than Ruby.
I inhale a deep breath of air before focusing my eyes on my reflection in my mirror.
My mirror is back to normal now and somehow appears to be cleaner.
I am currently adorned in a light beige colored, cropped blazer set with a matching skirt, the blazer covering my black long sleeved turtleneck.
I made the decision to part my blonde hair down the middle and use two bedazzled hair clips to hold my hair back on each side of my head.

Yay!
Commence operation 'Prom Queen'.
I stand up from my bed and grab my backpack and my cellphone.
I quickly make my way towards my bedroom door, grabbing my keys as I walk by them and making my way out of my bedroom.
I am super nervous, but I am also super excited.
I mean, so many things could go wrong but at the same, if they work in my favor, they could go so well.
It practically takes me no time to run down the stairs, approaching the front door a few seconds later.
I smile as I open the front door and am met with a familiar face.
"Hey, why did you want me to drive you to school again?" Alexis asks me
I roll my eyes at this as I make my way out of my house.
"Prom voting is today during first period and I need to do as much as possible to make sure that I'm on the ballot" I tell her
It is as if lately her memory has been way worse that normal.
Alexis hums at this, a smirk making its way onto her face.
"So you're basically just using me?" She jokes
I playfully roll my eyes at her again and gently backhand her shoulder.
"It's only for an hour or two," I agree
